(4 Customer Reviews)
Released in 1992, Tomb of the Mutilated helped establish Cannibal Corpse's reputation as one of metal's goriest, most vile outfits. Boasting some of the sickest album art and song titles of all time, the band's attention-getting tactics worked perfectly and record sales soared. Cannibal Corpse then became one of the biggest names in the death metal genre -- just as the group's discs and live performances were being banned all over the world. Listeners unfamiliar with the belching vocal style and pummeling drum and guitar attack typical of death metal probably won't understand what separates this or any other record that adheres so stringently to the genre's formula, but learned fans have come to appreciate Tomb of the Mutilated as a solid, if not important, offering. Vocalist Chris Barnes' constant barrage of Cookie Monster-esque lowdown grunting is pretty much unintelligible throughout, leaving his gross-out lyrics offensive only to those who read them. However, the effect works nicely and maintains tradition. Standout tracks include "Beyond the Cemetery" -- which boasts the record's best riffs -- and speedier cuts like "Split Wide Open" and "The Cryptic Stench." Generally not taken seriously in many metal quarters due to their fascination with cartoonish gore, Cannibal Corpse somehow managed to outlast many of their more critically accepted contemporaries due in no small part to early career efforts like Tomb of the Mutilated, with its powerful musical focus. ~ Vincent Jeffries

It's the best album I've ever heard.
The unstoppable drum, the insane guitars and the bestial vocals and lyrics by Chris Barnes made the diference between regular Death Metal and the real and extreme one... Submitted by ivoestorello (Rawson, CH, Argentina) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No 1 of 1 found this helpful.

Tomb Of The Mutilated CD music
$14.25 On Chimaira's second full-length album, THE IMPOSSIBILITY OF REASON, the Midwestern nu-metal outfit charges out of the gate with an electrifying mix of brutally direct Sabbath-esque guitars, the scariest death metal howls this side of Morbid Angel, and double-kick-drum patterns so fast and clean they make Slipknot's drummer sound like the guy who played on "Louie Louie." Unlike many of its similarly hard-edged contemporaries, Chimaira features the added novelty of a full-time ...
| | Korn Greatest Hits Vol. 1 CD (2004)
Tomb Of The Mutilated music CDs
$9.59 GREATEST HITS VOL. 1 is a 17-track primer for Korn, a key force behind the "nu metal" tsunami that swept through pop music in the mid-to-late 1990s. Led by frontman (and former coroner's assistant) Jonathan Davis, these California natives weave low-tuned guitars, hip-hop-fueled bass lines, and bleak imagery into memorable songs like the bile-fueled stomp-fest "Right Now," goth-tinged "Alone I Break," and frenetically raw "Freak on a Leash."
Davis's struggle with family dysfunction is a consistent theme, from the band's self-titled 1994 debut (a foreboding "Clown"), right up through 2003's TAKE A LOOK IN THE MIRROR (an uber-heavy "Did My Time"). ...

Tomb Of The Mutilated songs
$8.99 Drummer Matt McDonough and bassist Ryan Martinie play as if they are the same person, tossing off impossibly complex lock-step riffs ("Determined," "Just") like most bands hit an open E chord. On "Happy?" and "Fall into Sleep," singer Chad Gray moves from a throat-shredding rasp to sweet melodicism at the drop of a hat, taking angst-filled lyrics to new ...

| | Justin Timberlake Futuresex / Lovesounds CD (2006) Bonus Track
Tomb Of The Mutilated album
$36.99 Timberlake spared no expense recruiting some of the best producers on the scene. Beatmaker extraordinaire Timbaland is a primary collaborator, and his experimental stutter-funk landscapes make for the album's best moments (the title track, for example, or the spare, driving lead-off single "Sexyback"). Early Prince is a major touchstone for much of the disc, but Timberlake also draws on rolling, Dirty South jams ("Chop Me Up") and smooth, urban-contemporary loverman R&B ("My Love"). Its obsession with the bedroom notwithstanding, FUTURESEX/LOVESOUNDS shows Timberlake moving toward an exciting musical maturity.
Japanese pressing of the 2006 sophomore album from Timberlake features one bonus track: 'Pose' (Featuring Snoop Dogg). International superstar Justin Timberlake makes a welcome return to the charts this autumn with his second solo album, ...

They moved to Huntsville, Alabama in the late seventies where Don eventually retired and the family settled. Through the years DeNelle has continued to pursue her love for the arts. She has had choir director and organist positions and as Minister of Music for many years. She has directed many secular choirs and choral groups. She began leading worship in the early 70's when the congregations would sing directly from their Bibles. PRESENTShe is a licensed minister in the Foursquare Church and is actively leading worship in her church.
