5 stars Getting Even Better
Another improvement from the last album--there is some incredible work here which clearly rivals some of DTs song compositions. I am still not crazy about his voice, but the instrumental work is tightening even more and more, and I have to think this has reached a near Zenith. If not, I am in for a real treat when I give Odyssey (and the soon to be new one) a spin! My favorite tracks are "Fallen," "Communication and the Oracle," the little segue called "On the Breath of Poseidon," and "Egypt." Overall, I am very pleased to have recently discovered Symphony X; they are giving me a much needed and long prog fix!
