More than "Southern Fried"
This collection truly shows how great these guys were. Probably even better than Skynard. Many songs take me back to my youth; there is actually a tangible feeling when I hear them. They may be labelled "southern fried", but it is more than that. Too bad we missed out on how great Duane was and could have been.

A GREAT SELECTION OF SONGS
DECADE captures some of the bands best songs over the first ten years together. I recommend this album to new fans as well as long time fans. Of course if you are looking for much more of their music then pick up their box set DREAMS.

Great 70s Allman Brothers Anthology
A DECADE OF HITS is a superb compilation of the Allman Brothers Band's finest 70s moments. This album features their most song-oriented material, and the only important item missing is "Stand Back." This anthology is a must-own for any rock fan.

Greatest Hits
This is an excellent "Greatest Hits" review of the Allman Brothers Band over their first 10 years together. The included biography gives good insight into how and why the songs were recorded.
