Ugly Kid Joe's first full-length album reprises the hit "Everything About You" from their debut EP As Ugly as They Wanna Be and delivers a set of similar rockers and a handful of power ballads, including a revamped version of Harry Chapin's "Cats in the Cradle." Listeners who are too far removed from their adolescence to remember the joys of spitballs and Saturday schools won't find America's Least Wanted engaging in the least, but it wasn't designed for them. Ugly Kid Joe rocks for the average high school kid, the one that doesn't think about anything except girls, partying, and metal. On the whole, the band's mixture of fizzy, fuzzy riffs, sing-song melodies, and calculated obnoxiousness isn't that offensive, but it will certainly try the patience of anyone who doesn't find their cutesy vulgarity fun. For fans of the band, America's Least Wanted delivers the thrills. ~ Stephen Thomas ErlewineQ (10/92, p.96) - 3 Stars - Good America's Least Wanted Music | List Price | $13.98 (You save $1.83) | | Category | Rock Albums, Rock/Pop CDs | | Label | Stardog | | Orig Year | 1992 | | All Time Sales Rank | 26556 | | CD Universe Part number | 1055365 | | Catalog number | 512571 | | Discs | 1 | | Release Date | Jun 14, 1994 | | Studio/Live | Studio | | Mono/Stereo | Stereo | | Engineer | Mark Dodson; Randy Long | | Personnel | Mark Davis - drums, percussion Dave Fortman - guitar, vocals Whitfield Crane - vocals Cordell Crockett - bass, vocals Klaus Eichstadt

Its path beckons and unity lies in motion with open eyes. Each breath revives - life when drawn, spirit when released." (Prose of Sa'adi, 13th.C.E)A sophisticated taut bond has evolved between Persian music and poetry since the thirteenth century. It is through the weaves of this bond that tones and rhythms flow from one realm to the other, where rhythms are determined by the transformation of the syllabic weights of verses through an ancient rhythmic compositional system, called atannin. The mystical substance along with the lexical relations in a poem or a piece of prose awaken numerous parallel emotions deep in our consciousness; powerful writings unfold into mystical emotions. Thus, the poem chosen for a musical composition is the essential spring from which the music’s tones and rhythms flow. As emotions metamorphosed by man into words, the syllabic intonations of poems generate the rhythmic emotion of the music while in an onomatopic reversal, the sounds of words breath life into the emotions: dynamic, spiritual, meditative... by these exchanges, we transcend into a universe of rhythms where all is connected and held together by the ‘infinite breath’.This ...
