||Best Barry White CD Available!|
This is the best Barry White CD because it includes all his Top 100 Hits plus two Top 25 Love Unlimited Orchestra Hits: "Love's Theme" and "Satin Soul." The tracks are the hit single versions, not the longer album versions, but isn't that we all heard on the radio in the '70's?! Besides the above, the sound is great! Highly Recommended!

||And still, they don't understand|
Where did this unlearned pimp, get off making the most acclaimed, romantic, semi-classical, mostly disco, music; in a-class-by-its-self, period- grooves ever? The arrangements, the songs, the sound... the voice.

|Barry White - All Time Greatest Hits|
This is a good CD if you want an overview of what Barry White does best... but the versions are edited and make you want to hear the extended plays.

In the early '80s, Collins took a break from the helm of Genesis to inaugurate a solo career that abandoned his group's art-rock agenda for a mainstream pop approach. In the ensuing years, the king of Nice Guy Pop established himself as one of the world's premier top 40 balladeers, as evidenced by the wall-to-wall hits that make up the balance of this appropriately titled collection. HITS walks the listener through the smooth, well-produced Collins hits that have worked their way into the collective consciousness of radio listeners (even casual ones) over the years. There are majestic power ballads ("I Wish It Would Rain") to light-hearted, infectious pop-funk ("Sussudio") and moody atmospheric pieces ("In the Air Tonight") HITS represents the full range of material this prolific performer has turned out over the course of his wildly successful career.

Greatest Hits CDs (2000) Top Seller
All-Time Greatest Hits CD music It should come as no surprise that a woman who counts Dionne Warwick as a cousin, Aretha Franklin as a family friend, and whose mother was a legendary session and gospel singer, became a phenomenally successful R&B act. Perhaps more surprising is that it took 17 years after first signing with Arista for Whitney Houston to produce her first greatest hits album.
These hits are neatly compartmentalized into a "Cool Down" and a "Throw Down" disc, the former featuring ballads such as "Saving All My Love for You," while the latter showcases remixes of Whitney's uptempo singles such as "How Will I Know." Four new songs, three of which are duets, are also included. At the time of release, her golden voice had led to 16 Number 1 hits (that's two more than Madonna), an Emmy, Grammys and several notable collaborations. A stocking-filler for years to come, we'll wager.
Includes liner notes by Amy Linden.
Personnel includes: Whitney Houston, Deborah Cox, Kelly Price, George Michael, Jermaine Jackson, Faith Evans, Enrique Iglesias.

Miseducation of Lauryn Hill CD (1998) Top Seller
All-Time Greatest Hits buy CD music THE MISEDUCATION OF LAURYN HILL won the 1999 Grammy Award for Album Of The Year and Best R&B Album. Lauryn Hill won the 1999 Grammy Award for Best New Artist. "Can't Take My Eyes Off Of You" was nominated for the 1999 Grammy Award for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance. "Doo Wop (That Thing)" won the 1999 Grammy Award for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance and Best R&B Song. "Nothing Even Matters" was nominated for a 1999 Grammy for Best R&B Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocal. "Lost Ones" was nominated for a 1999 Grammy for Best Rap Solo Performance. "Everything Is Everything" was nominated for the 2000 Grammy Award for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance.
Lauryn Hill is far from miseducated, as her solo debut album proves. With both critical and popular acclaim from her affiliation with the Fugees, Lauryn uses THE MISEDUCATION OF LAURYN HILL to make a definitive individual statement. The focus here is love: love of self, love of her son, the love of her life, love of hip-hop. Her powerful lyrics and vocal talent put her in a class by herself.
One of hip-hop's more strong-willed artists, Lauryn's positivity defies the '90s materialistic rap scene. Although there is much more singing than rapping, Lauryn still covers plenty of hip-hop ground on THE MISEDUCATION, and her music falls into the rap category just as much as it does into R&B. Produced by Hill herself, this album gives us only a few guest artists (D'Angelo, Mary J.) but lots of Lauryn Hill.
Personnel: Lauryn Hill (vocals, guitar, background vocals); D'Angelo (vocals, Fender Rhodes piano); Mary J. Very Best of the Spinners CD (1993) Top Seller
All-Time Greatest Hits album for sale The Spinners were rivaled only by the O'Jays as the greatest Philly soul group, and for that matter the greatest vocal group of the '70s. For listeners who don't want to dig as deeply as the excellent double-CD anthology One of a Kind Love Affair, Rhino's The Very Best of the Spinners is a stellar single-disc career summary that offers a concentrated dose of the group's sweet soul magic. It also serves as a primer on the best work of Thom Bell, Philly soul's "other" great producer besides the legendary Gamble & Huff team. Incredibly, every one of the 16 tracks here -- culled from 1970-1980 -- reached the R&B Top Ten, and half went all the way to number one on either the pop or R&B lists. As this collection demonstrates, the Spinners' massive popularity was well-deserved. Built around the magnetic leads of Philippe Wynne, their records were tastefully, elegantly romantic, full of adult heartache and longings as complex as the group's shifting harmonies. The compilers also license the pre-Wynne Motown hit "It's a Shame," co-written by Stevie Wonder, and include two disco-tinged medleys that returned the Spinners to the Top Ten for the last time at the close of the '70s. But the Wynne material is really the backbone of their output, and Thom Bell's gorgeous production frames his voice with just the right amount of sweetness. There's more to discover on One of a Kind Love Affair, but The Very Best of the Spinners is so solid from top to bottom that it's hard to argue with; one or the other is a necessary purchase for anyone even remotely interested in '70s soul. ~ Steve Huey
Additional personnel includes: Dionne Warwick (vocals).
Includes liner notes by Kevin Phinney.
Digitally remastered by Bill Inglot & Dan Hersch (Digiprep).
The Spinners include: Phillipe Wynne, John Edwards (vocals); Henry Fambrough, Billy Henderson, Pervis Jackson, Bobbie Smith (background vocals).
