1975's aptly titled ALIVE! was a breakthrough album for Kiss--finally capturing on tape the indescribable frenzy surrounding the band's legendary live shows. The band reacted to their subsequent world domination by cranking the shows to previously unimagined levels of theatrics and sheer volume. The album's sequel, ALIVE II, captures one of the most bombastic displays in rock's history--every ounce of Kiss' blood-spitting, fire-breathing energy is here.
After this thunderous document's historic introduction ("You wanted the best, you got the best!"), the band launches straight into "Detroit Rock City," just one of the many classics whose dramatic power is multiplied in this setting. "Love Gun" takes on even more swagger than its studio version, and Ace Frehley's "Shock Me" is perhaps his definitive performance. "Beth" is delivered by Peter Criss atop an almost terrifying backdrop of teenage screams. In between spitting blood and fire, Simmons contributes the lascivious "Calling Dr. Love" and the prehistoric stomp of "God of Thunder." The requisite anthem "Shout It Out Loud" is here too, along with a quintet of studio cuts, rounding out one of hard rock's most important statements.
Disc 2 of ALIVE II includes five studio tracks.
Kiss: Paul Stanley, Ace Frehley (vocals, guitar); Gene Simmons (vocals, bass); Peter Criss (vocals, drums).
Personnel: Ace Frehley (vocals).
Audio Remasterer: Joseph M. Palmaccio.

Alive & Thriving Well KISS maniacs the second installment of the Alive series does not let us down. While it's not quite as good as the first one it is still a great live album. I know that some of it wasn't exactly "live" but name one major act who releases a live album that isn't somewhat touched up....you can't. Anyway some of the live versions of these songs are actually better than the original studio versions such as Makin' Love, Shock Me and I Want You. And the version of I Stole Your Love is simply majestic! Now I for one actually love the studio songs on side 4. I know Ace only plays on one song and Peter is nowhere to be found...but does that really matter? It would mark the beginning of the end of their peak and it would also mark the beginning of the end of the original group. Maybe that's why this album is so close to my heart. At any rate this album rules. End of story.
Fly the flag my friends.

Better than ALIVE! Yes, it's true. This is the best live album ever recorded. The sound is clear, heavy and modern. Kiss' '70's studio albums were poorly produced, the guitars too quiet and the songs don't breath. But live, the songs sound like they're supposed to; crunchy, tight, tough riffs that are infectious. The band plays them perfectly and you can hear the wildly excited 20,000 fans through the music. Remember at this time, Kiss seemed to be almost magical and were larger than life. Nobody knew what they really looked like. This album makes them sound like Olympic Gods coming before the throng and raining down commandments of rock!! Truly a great album. It's Alive Again! Just like KISS' first live album Alive!, Alive II features songs from Destroyer, Rock and Roll Over, and Love Gun. Although I've always loved the live stuff from KISS' album, this disc also includes 5 really great songs recorded from the studio. Another KISS classic you must get. $6.49 Kiss' penchant for make-up was inspired by their downtown New York neighbors the New York Dolls and by Alice Cooper, who was on top of the glam-rock world when Kiss' self-titled debut came out in 1974. Rather than dress in drag as the Dolls did, Kiss fashioned their look on a mix of ...

$19.99 For original member and founder Mark Reale, keeping RIOT together has always been his main focus and continuing to bring music to thousands upon thousands of extremely loyal fans world wide. RIOT originated in the basement of Mark Reale's home in Brooklyn NY in the summer of 1976 and by 1977 Mark Reale (Guitars), Guy Speranza (Vocal), LA Kouvaris (Guitars), Jimmy Iommi (Bass) and Peter Bitelli (Drums) had recorded their first album "Rock City" for a small independent label "Fire Sign Records" who managed to obtain various licensing deals throughout the world. RIOT played all over the East coast heavily and was starting to be notice by bigger labels and was making a buzz on the radio throughout the US. Capitol Records quickly signed RIOT, who soon entered the studio to record their second album "Narita" in 1979. RIOT toured all over the US and was really picking up steam and was offered a tour on the first "Monsters of Rock" in Great Britain. After the band returned to the States, RIOT was now opening up for bands like Sammy Hagar, AC/DC, Kiss, Molly Hatchet just to name a few and the buzz was big, but Capitol was now wanting the band to go more commercial to market them in the States but the band liked what was happening over in Europe, a more heavier and faster type of sound was making them a big thing over sea's. RIOT got a new record deal with Elektra Records afterwards and went right into the studios to record their third album "Fire Down Under" in 1981 which is now considered by most fans of that time to be the band's most definitive album. Then in 1982, Rhett Forrester joined the band, replacing Guy Speranza, and recorded their fourth ...
