Let's Face It album for sale Product Description
Let's Face It album for sale by Mighty Mighty Bosstones was released Mar 11, 1997 on the Mercury label. Among the leading exponents of the so-called third wave of ska, the Mighty Mighty Bosstones won the devotion of the two-tone crowd by marrying a heavy-metal guitar roar to the skanky downbeat. On LET'S FACE IT, the Boston octet's fifth album, the rock roar has been subdued in some places and expanded in others. On the one hand, the band has refocused on its Jamaican musical tradition: "Royal Oil" features a completely dubbed-out bass line, and "The Rascal King" is as radio-friendly as any Specials classic. Let's Face It CD music contains a single disc with 12 songs. ...See Full Description

| awesome This is the best 3rd wave ska I've ever heard. The Impression That I Get, even though it was the radio hit, is the best song, along with Rascal King and Royal Oil. By a reviewer (Danville CA) |
| this is the impression that i get The BossTones seemed to have spent more time on this album than on any other one, and it shows. They show a much wider range of their styles, from their punk styles of "Desensitized", the pure ska of "Rascal King", and the blues/jazz/ska blend in "Another Drinkin' Song" a definate buy and a win for the Bosstones, a personal favorite.
