Hold Your Fire album for sale by Rush was released Jun 03, 1997 on the Mercury label. Continuing their trend that began with GRACE UNDER PRESSURE, Rush turned in a glossy, keyboard-driven record with 1987's HOLD YOUR FIRE. Like the previous album, POWER WINDOWS, this one was co-produced by Peter Collins, resulting in a collection of very pop-friendly songs but with the trio's signature complex arrangements and intelligent lyrics Hold Your Fire songs. The most dramatic difference with FIRE is the inclusion of an outside guest vocalist on "Time Stand Still" in the person of rocker Aimee Mann. Am I the only one?
As a long time Rush fan, I thoroughly enjoyed Hold Your Fire. Sure, it was probably the height of their slick production and keyboard usage, but there are truly some outstanding tracks on this album.

Still a Great Album
Though this is not the favorite of many Rush fans, I happen to like it a lot. Sure, it is a little more keyboard friendly and homogeneous than previous releases, but it is still fresh, good music.
