Very Best of Rainbow album for sale by Rainbow was released Jul 15, 1997 on the Chronicles label. The Best of Rainbow compiles 16 of the best tracks from Rainbow's first seven studio albums, wisely avoiding 1977's live On Stage release. The first two tracks from their debut album, 1975's Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow, showcases the instant bond that was formed between Blackmore and Ronnie James Dio, especially on "Man on the Silver Mountain." Blackmore changed the band for the following year's Rainbow Rising, with Jimmy Bain replacing bass player Craig Gruber, and Cozy Powell taking percussion duties away from Gary Driscoll. Very Best of Rainbow songs An excellent pick for new listeners of Rainbow and a must for die hard fans. Contain the members family tree and good linear notes. recommended!

Solid Rock Album
Very Best of Rainbow CD music This is one great compilation album. Exellant liner notes about the band and an overall great selection of songs. Richie Blackmore had a great sound, almost a grove to his guitar work.

Bedst of the bedst from that time...
My Favorit is "I Surrender" I remember them dayes, sitting im my college-room, smoking the peace-pipe, and crawling my rock collection, turning my stereo to the highest level.
