Smiler album for sale Product Description
Smiler album for sale by Rod Stewart was released Mar 31, 1998 on the Universal Special Products label. On SMILER, as per usual, Stewart's approach towards recording was to invite over a bunch of friends, get the spirits flowing and have a grand time laying down tracks. The gang included Elton John, who plays on his own "Let Me Be Your Car." Along with Reg's song, Stewart's other covers included a raucous "Sweet Little Rock 'N' Roller," a lovingly rendered Sam Cooke medley of "Bring It On Home To Me/You Send Me" and a reworking of Aretha Franklin's classic that reads as "(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Man." Ron Wood returned on guitar and co-wrote the Mott-like "Sailor" and "Dixie Toot" with Stewart, who gave the latter selection a New Orleans twist by having Chris Barber's Jazz Band play on it. Smiler CD music contains a single disc with 12 songs. ...See Full Description

So What Is The Problem With "Smiler"? This is definitely a very overlooked recording that seems to be under appreciated, and many times hard to find. I don't really understand it, since I find this album very good, just a notch below "Never A Dull Moment", which I feel is his best. By Stephen Jenkins (Knoxville, TN, USA)
im still smiling this is one of my favorite albums. it doesn't have the best reviews, but, i beg to differ. By a reviewer (thaxton, va., usa)
Quite Underrated Surely it's not as good as the previous 3 albums, but not far behind.Soulful music. By xhua99 (Hangzhou,China)
