So Long & Thanks for All the Shoes finds NOFX sliding away from their strengths and turning out a nearly undistinguished collection of rote, by-the-books latter-day punk. Part of the problem is the flat, processed sound of the album, which simply fails to capture the group's fiery, energetic stage presence. That alone would make So Long a disappointment, but the songs themselves are below par, riding on tired riffs and half-baked lyrics, which tend to be buried in the mix anyway. The result is the stiffest album the group has yet released, and it raises the disturbing question of whether NOFX has run out of ideas. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine

So Long And Thanks For All The Shoes Music NOFX So Long And Thanks For All The Shoes Songs So Long And Thanks For All The Shoes Music So Long And Thanks For All The Shoes Music Review Average Rating: (4.9 out of 5 stars) List All Reviews Possibly there best effort. If this isn't NOFX's best effort, then it is there most diverse.. It's got the hardcore punk sound we love (It's My Job To Keep Punk Rock Elite, Kids of the K Hole, Falling In Love), it's got the more pop punk songs (Monosyllabic Girl, All His Suits Are Torn, Quart in Session) and it's got it's ska (180 Degrees, All Outta Angst, Flossing a Dead Horse) and it's even got a French song! (Champs Elysees)... if you're a fan of any of these genres you need this album in your cd collection. Submitted by EmoPunk309 (Syracuse, NY) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Best Nofx album hands down....... I have every Nofx album to date, from "Maximum Rock n' Roll" to "Wolves in Wolves" clothing, and this has to be my all time favorite. From the ska-driven, "All Outta Angst", to the 35-second punk rock quickie, "Murder The Goverment, this album has everything. I can honestly say there is not one song I dislike. If I could give this album more stars I would.....

So Long And Thanks For All The Shoes album
$10.35 Before NOFX became the fathers of humorous but hard-edged punk rock, they were just four pretty obnoxious Californians with a penchant for fast music and dirty jokes. Ribbed isn't exactly the group's breakthrough into content filled rock, but their typically hard-edged punk has enough dirty humor that anyone with their mind in the gutter should at least get few smirks over the course of the record. Besides the sophomoric gross out of "The Moron Brothers" and the double-entendre ridden "Together on the Sand," none of ...

So Long And Thanks For All The Shoes CD music
$9.89 NOFX preceded the 1990s explosion of bubblegum pop-punk by nearly a decade (they formed in '83). But with the addition of guitarist Aaron Abeyta (who goes by the moniker El Hefe), the band emerged near the top of the heap, churning out consistently fun, well-constructed rock with plenty of punch. 1992's WHITE TRASH, TWO HEEBS AND A BEAN marks the ...

| | Mic Harrison Pallbearer's Shoes CD (2004)
So Long And Thanks For All The Shoes CD music
$13.89 Short-time Superdrag guitarist Mic Harrison set about recording Pallbearer's Shoes with drummer/producer Don Coffey Jr. shortly after that band went on indefinite hiatus in 2003. And the results run from good to breathtaking. Opening with "Something to Let You Down," which recalls everything great about vintage Posies, Guided By Voices, and the sorely missed 'Drag itself, Harrison is at home with an array of styles, from the countrified piano-laden warmth of "Journey's End" to the Rhodes-touched acoustic ballad "Welcome to the World," which ...
