What's This-1946, Vol. 1 songs
$14.79 BIOGRAPHY OF VISHAUN KISTANâYou know youâve connected with your listeners when you hear them humming your song, tapping their foot to the beat or singing along to the lyrics. Thatâs what itâs about isnât it?â This new exciting artistâs debut album: âWelcome to my world,â relates to us all as it speaks of life and the things we experience. âLife can be pretty awesome but sometimes itâs just a bloody nightmare and at times all we want is a little understanding or for someone out there to know what weâre going throughâ His music has a combination of genres and styles. Certain songs feature the Spanish guitar as well as the Indian Sitar and Tabla. The piano backed ballads take you on a journey to the 80âs, with the guitars reminding you of the 70âs. âI missed most of the 80âs. I grew up listening to the Eagles, Bee Gees, Santana, Bad Company, Simon and Garfunkel, just to name a few. I listened to pretty much whatever my Father listened to. The little 80âs I did listen to was from the girl next door that was about ten years my seniorâŠthat didnât stop me from having a crush on her!â With regards to his music, Vishaun is very humble. Being the new kid on the block he realizes he has a long way to go, âI started writing as a hobby and it somehow flourished into an album. Iâm by no means the greatest singer or songwriter out there. Iâm just a guy doing his thing. I figure if I like my songs, then there will be others who may like them and if I can make a buck out of it, then why not? Iâd like to keep on writing and singing. Life is such that there are so many interesting things to write about.â Born in South Africa, in a little town called Ladysmith, Vishaun Kistan has come a long way. Immigrating to Canada in 1996 at the of age fifteen, it took him a few years to find his niche in life. Having graduated from college in 2000 with a Millwright certificate he decided it was time to work towards his future. However; after three unfulfilling years of working as a welder, fabricator, mechanic, painter, telemarketer and janitor, Vishaun realized that this work was not for him and decided to start following his heart. In 2003, Vishaun began to write his music and itâs been a roller coaster ride since. To his surprise the songs had a strong melodic as well as lyrical structure and with his motherâs support he was encouraged to produce them. With very little vocal confidence but a strong determination ...
