Cliff Douglas (then known as Doug Lenard) has opened for some of Country Music’s finest; Moe Bandy, The Oak Ridge Boys, Hank Williams, Jr., Mickey Gilley, Asleep at the Wheel, Elvin Bishop, Jerry Jeff Walker, Frizzell and West, Kenny Price, Peter Rowan, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Ray Wiley Hubbard. Cliff Douglas continued to cut albums over the years and had some near misses with fame. Somewhere in his twenties, Cliff Douglas decided that music wasn’t going to pay the bills and he turned to driving a truck. In the evenings and on the weekends, he would play gigs from Sioux Falls to Fresno and then drive a truck to pay the bills and support his recording habit.
