| | Strictly The Best, Vol. 25 CD
The Strictly the Best series is second only to Reggae Gold in terms of presenting the season's hottest dancehall tunes, and Vol. 25 lives up to its title, although these sizzling hits could use a little more fire. Besides Capelton & Moses I's rugged "Crazy Look," Ward 21's clever take on the ubiquitous marijuana ode "Ganja Smoke," and newcomer Alozade's deliciously sinister "Bad Man Nah Pet," the album's indistinct, hard-driving riddims simply melt into each other, with no DJ managing to stand out. Strictly the Best, Vol. 25 provides a good collection of dancehall hits, but nothing exceptional. ~ Rosalind Cummings-Yeates
