Tenor saxophonist Spike Robinson has been quite consistent throughout his career. Influenced by Stan Getz and Zoot Sims, Robinson is virtually the last of the "Four Brothers" tenor stylists. For his typically joyful and swinging session, the veteran tenor is accompanied by guitarist Louis Stewart (who contributes a complementary second solo voice), bassist Red Mitchell and drummer Martin Drew. Although all nine songs are standards, most are not played all that often, and the treatments are fresh and enthusiastic. Highlights include "This Love of Mine," "I Remember You," a lengthy version of "Nearness of You," and "Breezin' Along With the Breeze." Well worth searching for. ~ Scott Yanow

Clarissa Vichi nasce a Pesaro il 14 novembre del 1983...fin da bambina si dedica alle piu' svariate forme d'arte: danza (classica prima poi moderna e hip hop), canta (la sua passione piu' grande che diventera' ragione di vita), lettura, sport.L'amore per l'arte e per la musica nel suo specifico le viene tramandato dalla sua famiglia, gia' all'eta' di 5/6 anni ascolta grandi artisti jazz e soul ed e' da li' che la sua anima "nera" comincia a crescere; affronta per la prima volta un palcoscenico attraverso la danza e subito dopo comincia ad esibirsi in concorsi canori per giovani talenti dai 9 anni...ottenendo sempre ottimi risultati.Danza e canto vanno pari passo fino al 15esimo anno di eta', ogni giorno e' importante per migliorare ma arriva anche il momento in cui il ballo rimane un hobby e il canto diventa una professione (senza tralasciare gli studi scolastici che terminano nel 2003 con il diploma in grafica pubblicitaria).La sua carriera artistica parte ufficialmente dal 2000 con alcuni dei piu importanti concorsi canori nazionali: Festival di San Marino, Accademia di Sanremo, Girofestival e Bengio festival; qui avviene l'incontro con il produttore Popi Fabrizio e il fratello Maurizio Fabrizio con cui nasce una collaborazione musicale per qualche anno ed una grande stima lavorativa.Nel dicembre 2001 infatti esce il suo primo singolo solista dal titolo PRENDIMI CON TE (arrangiato e scritto da M. Fabrizio), prodotto da promoarte/edizioni Sony music.Il 2002 e' un anno fatto di molte audizioni e soddisfazioni: Clarissa e' finalista del programma televisivo AMICI di Maria De Filippi in qualita' di cantante; finalista del programma rai Destinazione Sanremo; partecipa a lavori in studio per etichette House; compie un tour estivo lungo tutta la penisola con il suo collega e amico Valerio Di Rocco riproponendo classici soul e r&b; si esibisce sempre e comunque in spettacoli teatrali che prevedono danza e recitazione con il Centro Coreografico di danza ...
