| Well Done Beef
This album is sensational. Even more so when listing it up against the other great releases of the time. There's 'Wolf blues, psychedelica , awesome guitar riffing and lots of the Cap'ns downright weirdness. And that theremin is the icing on the sonic cake. Far more accessible than Trout Mask Replica which gets an airing once every 3 or 4 years at my house or when I need to get rid of unwanted guests who've outstayed their welcome. This album gets a run all the time. Got Milk? Get it!

| As unique as it gets
I agree with the other reviewer who said this is one of the best releases of '67. The reason it is is because of its originality and the uniqueness of its sound. No one sounded like Beefheart at the time except for maybe Zappa, who was a friend and producer of the Captain. Its an excellent potpourri of blues, psychedelia and advant garde rock. A key ingredient of the originality on this album is Beefheart's voice, who sounds like Howlin' Wolf on acid. The first 12 songs on this cd are good, but towards the end it gets a little mundane. This is definitely recommended for fans of psychedelic blues.

| Brilliant Oddball Blues
This is one of the greatest albums released in 1967. Legend has, John Lennon even owned two copies of it! Who ever knew that blues done by white people could be so interesting! A great album for driving down the street with your windows open and watching everybodys confused looks as they hear a distorted voice saying "Eeeeeelecctriiiiiicity!"
