Todd Rundgren - The Ever Popular Tortured Artist Effect Movie Review Average Rating: (2.3 out of 5 stars) SURREAL TRIP for Serious Todd Fan's Only If you are a real/true fan of TR, get this as a way to look inside this guy's head. Even the interview portions are surreal as he "plays" a very aloof/resistant version of himself who is almost forced into revealing the inner workings of his mind, his motivations, his inspirations, etc. NOT FOR THE CASUAL TR FAN...AT ALL!!! Serious fans will know him better. Casual fans will be left confused (or disatisfied, perhaps). THIS IS NOT A VIDEO HITS COLLECTION!!! All of the video work is pre-CG, so from that aspect alone, it is a work of art. This DVD is a trip. (Includes Videosyncracy, a mini-70s /80s video hits collection.) Warning Boy did I make a mistake. I saw the advertised song list and thought I was in heaven.
This is a self-adoring interview with a few seconds of each 'song.' Total waste, and a very deceptive description!
Shame on CDuniverse for this fiasco. Submitted by richie (St. Louis) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No 0 of 1 found this helpful.
Fooled me I was all pumped after seeing the tracks listing. I wanted to puke when I watched this. Beware! Submitted by cowanpreston (Little Rock AR) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No 0 of 2 found this helpful.
