| New Jim Jones Music Review Average Rating: (4.5 out of 5 stars) List All Reviews Dre Dog is a beast This is one of my favorite cd's of all times and is one of the first rap cd's I ever heard back in the early 90's. Dre Dog (Andre Nickatina as he is now known) has incredible lyrics, vicious beats and spits like nobody else. If you dont already have this classic cd you need to go ahead and get it. You wont be disappointed. Submitted by zudaa678 (Virginia) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Rap CD Hard core frisco rapper, Dre Dog is tight.
Hard to find cd but easy to find on cd universe. Not the quickest service though. I had some trouble contacting customer service and getting my cd delivered. Submitted by a reviewer (Inver Grove Hts., MN, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
The Master Dre Dog(Andre Nickatina)in my opinion is one of the best lyricists around. He proves that in his first realease of the New Jim Jones. His hard core raps laced with ear pleasing beats on this album show clearly of what was to become one of that bay areas legendary sounds. DRE DOG or Andre Nickatina I think when dre dog came out in 93' he was cool with lyrics and the beats on "the new jim jones", but changing his name all of a sudden made him alright, until the release of "These are the tales".With his last release "Hells Kitchen", you can say he is back and even better. A MUST SEE LIVE PERFORMER

| | Stevie Wonder Definitive Collection CDs (2002) 2CD Edition
New Jim Jones album
$20.89 There aren't any accolades you can heap upon Stevie Wonder that haven't already been heaped -- all you can do is let the song titles speak for themselves: "Superstition," "Sir Duke," "I Wish," "Higher Ground, "Overjoyed," "Living For The City," "My Cherie Amour," "You Are The Sunshine Of My Life"...one could go on all day.
Missing in action for much of the 1990s, Stevie Wonder is a living legend whose consistent creative output is sorely missed. THE DEFINITIVE COLLECTION provides a snapshot overview of Wonder's stellar legacy starting back in 1963 as a teen musical prodigy with the exuberant "Fingertips Part 2." This jubilant tune, showcasing Wonder's much-touted facility on the chromatic harmonica, is a powerful harbinger of things to come. Along the way are classics that find this Michigan native going from being a one-man Motown hit machine to a young artist whose vision eschewed singles-based sensibilities for album-long artistic statements.
Wonder's '60s gems include "I Was Made to Love Her," "For Once in My Life," and "Signed, Sealed, Delivered I'm Yours." Of course, his '70s work is just as stunning, ...
| | Kitaro Sacred Journey Of Ku-Kai, Vol. 1 CD (2003)
New Jim Jones CD music
$14.79 SACRED JOURNEY OF KU-KAI was nominated for the 2004 Grammy Award for Best New Age Album.
This is a hybrid Super Audio CD playable on both regular and Super Audio CD players.
Kitaro seeks to create music that embodies the universal spirit of mankind. By using a broad mix of traditional elements--such as ancient temple bells (recorded on location) and chanting monks--Kitaro aims for a sense of world unity through a conscious blending of ethnic sounds with electronic music. Stating on the liner notes that this album was inspired by the events of 9/11, Kitaro presents a collection of distinct pieces--each completely different from the last--linked by a common spirit of healing. Water and seaside sounds mingle with bells, dancing electronic notes, and flutes in "Michi." In "Kageroh," Eastern sitar and chants blend with atmospheric sounds reminiscent of Kitaro's occasional collaborator, master keyboardist Klaus Schulze. With "Flow," Kitaro reveals his love of the electric guitar, unexpectedly merging it with traditional Eastern percussion and harp. This album, which Kitaro promises is the first of several dedicated to world healing, showcases the composer's musical dexterity and his facility at creating an overall sense of calmness and clarity.
For over a quarter century, Japan's Kitaro has been an internationally recognized icon and globally acclaimed composer and musician. Influenced early on by American rock and R&B, Kitaro began experimenting with synthesizers and a rainbow of unconventional sounds in the mid-'70s. His pioneering fusion of electronic artistry, traditional Japanese forms, and pop-inflected Western idioms created a lush, harmonic, and poetic sound that won the now legendary artist a huge international following. 1980's Volume 1 in the revered Silk Road series is considered an all-time masterpiece, with subsequent volumes only adding to its luster. '87's GRAMMY-nominated The Light Of The Spirit, a collaboration with Grateful Dead drummer Mickey Hart, exceeded sales of two million in the U.S. ...
| | Marc Live Validation CD (2004)
New Jim Jones music CDs
$26.79 One could spend hours talking about all the local flavors that exist in hip-hop these days. Some MCs have strong regional prejudices, but others keep themselves creatively healthy by turning to different parts of the United States for inspiration -- which is what Marc Live (formerly Marc Rippin') does on his first solo effort, Validation. The former Raw Breed member favors a very bicoastal approach on this 2004 release, drawing on influences from both California (Ice-T, Dr. Dre) and the Northeast (Redman, the Notorious B.I.G.). A Bronx native with a Miami address and many Los Angeles connections, Live features guest rappers who became famous in California (Ice-T) or in New York (50 Cent, Kool Keith, Smoothe da Hustler). Of course, some of the rappers who have been closely identified with L.A. are originally from the East Coast -- including Ice-T, Everlast, ...
