| | Perry Como Saturday Night With Mr. C./When You Come To The End Of The Day CDs (2001)
Swinging Connie Francis music CDs
$12.29 Collectables Records' Saturday Night With Mr. C./When You Come to the End of the Day actually packs two and a half vintage Perry Como albums into its two-CD package with a running time of nearly an hour and three-quarters. That's because, having been pushed to two discs by the unusually long running time of Saturday Night With Mr. C., the label has added even more material, culling six of the 12 songs from the 1959 album Como Swings as bonus tracks. At a release price of $13.50 for 40 tracks, the resulting compilation is quite a bargain. That said, the pairing is an odd one. Saturday Night With Mr. C. and When You Come to the End of the Day were both originally released in 1958, but they're very different records. The former is a kind of audio equivalent of Como's TV show, beginning with his opening theme and ending with his closing theme, in between including two introductory bits of his "Letters ...
| | Patti Page Today My Way/Honey Come Back CD (2003)
Swinging Connie Francis songs
$10.65 This two-fer from Collectables features a pair of out of print Patti Page LPs, Today My Way and Honey Come Back, originally released on Columbia in 1967 and 1970, respectively. These albums zero in on easy listening versions of popular love songs from the '60s and early '70s. ...

| | Steve Veale Urban Oasis CD (2000)
Swinging Connie Francis songs
$11.79 Smooth jazz needs more artists like this Orlando, FA-based guitarist, who knows his way around a breezy pop instrumental hook but challenges himself to push the envelope into the territories of retro-soul, edgy blues, and -- for a few moments anyway -- a little festive samba. So while "The Girl Next Door" offers a pretty straightforward, ...
| | Gap Band Greatest Hits CD (1998) Import
Swinging Connie Francis album
$9.79 Compared to the many other Gap Band compilations, this Greatest Hits -- from Collectables' Priceless Collection series, released in 2004 -- falls near the bottom of the stack. Even if it's clearly a budget release, there's no point in issuing another skimpy and spotty overview of the band's ...
| | Best Of Louis Armstrong (Vanguard) CDs (2002) (Import) France
Swinging Connie Francis CD music
$15.75 Mancy Cara, Johnny St. Cyr (banjo); Earl Hines (piano); Zutty Singleton,
Recorded between 1926 & 1928. Originally released on Okeh Records. Includes liner notes by Michael Brooks.
Although this collection's title is a bit misleading, THE BEST OF LOUIS ARMSTRONG is nevertheless a wonderful set of music. The album was recorded at a 1965 Paris concert and features a later version of Louis Armstrong's All-Stars. Granted, Satchmo and the band do play many of their best-known songs, but these are not the greatest recorded versions of them nor does this album represent the best live All-Stars recording. Nevertheless, any live Louis Armstrong album is sure to entertain. This album delivers on that, and the interaction among Armstrong, ...
| | Jack Frost Out In The Cold CD (2006) Import
Swinging Connie Francis music CDs
$16.29 This release from heavy metal act Jack Frost includes "Wasting Your Luv" and "Hell Or High Water."
No other musical style has been the subject of more tribute albums than heavy metal. Name an indie metal tribute album, and there's a fair chance that six-string shredder Jack Frost has appeared on it, as he's popped up on countless tributes over the years (Judas Priest, Scorpions, Twisted Sister, etc.). But Frost spends most of his time ...
