What are Gospel Gangstaz? They're really just what the name says: a group of three rappers who use the music landscapes traditionally used by gangster rappers to give praise to the Lord. Tracks like "Once Was Blind," "One Way," and "They Don't Believe That I'm Saved" are powerful street jams that demonstrate these three MCs at their best. While some of the tracks are straight hip-hop, others have an R&B-streaked flavor that comes from toothsome chorus harmonies and smooth arrangements. In particular, "Live It Up," the title track, and "I'll Be Good" (the last of which was produced by Trackmasters) are almost guaranteed not to disappoint.

Gospel Gangstas, in my opinion, continues to be the best gospel rap group in the game today. Not only in style, but also in lyrics.

This is a good album.Better than Exodus but not as good as "do or die" or their first album "gang affiliated". But still a good buy. "I'll be good" is a good gospel, soul, rap mix.

Fat Gospal Rap
This CD is very good. The songs are well mixed, not all one style. Good message through out, with out feeling preached to. BUT YOU GET THE MESSAGE.

In the '90s, groups like Jars of Clay began to address the perceived gap between Christian music and rock. For young rock/pop artists of the Christian faith, there seemed to be no happy medium until groups like this one learned how to keep the beat while keeping in close contact with their spiritual values. IF I LEFT THE ZOO proves to be a rather ambitious effort for this quartet. It opens with "Goodbye, Goodnight," an eccentric tune whose chamber string section and sophisticated harmonies recall SGT.
