| | Eminem - E DVD Eminem CDS
This 60 minute DVD features Eminem's top songs, as well as exclusive never-before-seen footage. Controversial Detroit rapper Eminem has rhymed about a wide range of offensive topics--from being stalked by a fan to killing his wife. Still, his (somehow) charismatic personality, witty lyrics, and infectious beats have made him a supremely popular hip hop star. E features several of the director's cut music videos for his hit songs, including "The Way I Am," "The Real Slim Shady," and "My Name Is." In addition, the long form video of "Stan," Eminem's creepy dramatization of an obsessive fan gone of the deep end, is also included. $15.95 R. was nominated for the 2000 Grammy Award for Best R&B Album. "I'm Your Angel" was nominated for the 1999 Grammy Award for Best Pop Collaboration With Vocals. "When A Woman's Fed Up" was nominated for the 2000 Grammy Award for Best Male R&B Vocal Performance.
R. Kelly proves that he's as prolific as he is talented on the two-disc set R., which not only culls together his most noteworthy and successful work, but is bursting with new tracks as well. Filled from start to finish with Kelly's unique blend of smooth vocal stylings and no-nonsense lyrical stance, this album also features the work of a few of his prominent friends--the opener, "Home Alone" sports a guest rap courtesy of Keith Murray, while "Money Makes The World Go Round" is graced by Nas.
A more mainstream pairing is witnessed in the dramatic show stopper "I'm your Angel," which finds Kelly alongside superstar Celine Dion, but the collaboration which really makes its mark is "We Ride," which features Cam'Ron, Noreaga, Jay-Z and Vegas Cats in a veritable who's who of Hip Hop's brightest stars. As if all this weren't enough, the mega-hit "I Believe I Can Fly" is included for good measure. Newcomers to the world of R. Kelly will be attracted by the hits, but they're sure to stay for the instant classics and star-studded party jams which make up the rest of R.

| | Krayzie Bone Thug Mentality 1999 CDs (1999)
Eminem - E DVD
$10.95 Theoretically, an epic hip-hop album could be compelling, but almost of all of the sweepstake entries are tedious, serving to diminish the artist's music instead of enhancing it. Nowhere was that more true than Bone Thugs-N-Harmony's overwrought third album, The Art of War and, unfortunately, that same sense of hubris characterizes Thug Mentality 1999, the ridiculously inflated debut solo album from Krayzie Bone. Freed from the group setting but not necessarily the members -- who fill some of the obligatory guest slots, along with Bone family members such as Relay -- Krayzie doesn't hesitate to accentuate the already smooth surfaces of his music. Some of these cuts are positively smoove, which stands in direct contrast to the gangstafied lyrics, but that's always been a part of the Bone trademark. In fact, other than the occasional cut that veers toward urban territory, there isn't a whole lot to differentiate this from the average Bone release -- there's just more of it. A lot more of it: 38 tracks, to be precise. Breadth does not necessarily mean depth. Even though there is more depth than there was on The Art of War, there's a whole lot of filler cluttering these two discs, including several tracks that feel as if they're designed to launch developing artists. Krayzie tries to keep it interesting by varying the flow, never putting too many similar tracks next to each other, ...
