| The title is telling you all you need to know Abandon this cd, because Deep Purple has. All the talent they once had is abandoned on this cd. Unfortunately it gets even more evident on their later releases, such as Rapture of the Deep. They are finished. Move on to something else. Like Jethro Tull. They continue to release quality music even these days. Unlike the afore mentioned By A.W.D. (Winnipeg, Mb. Canada) |
| Are They Kidding?? Perpendicular was such a great album... What happened?? This is not worth listening to - the fear of all bands is to become boring. Purple has managed that very well. Save your $$$ By Spike (Fresno, California) |
| Awful record!!! How can these guys release a cd like this. The same group wich made "IN ROCK"and MACHINE HEAD"made this awful record?/exept Blackmoore off corse/Expecially the melodies of the songs are bad.Without singing, maybe would not be so bad,but this way? This is a very bad cd,if a new young group would offer something like this to a record company, they would be kicked out of the studio.Don't buy it!!!!!!Not worse a penny!!!!!! | Just Open your Mind and Ears Deep Purple has been putting out some great music over the years and this CD "Abandon" is just another example of a band that keeps on getting better! No R.Blackmore on guitar but still rocks. I've read the reviews on this CD and did not let them stop me from buying it. I just don't know why most of them say this CD is bad? I say Just Open Your Mind and Ears and give more than one listen. By johnwerner71 (Fairview, NJ , USA) |
| Better live than... in studio Steve Morse gave Deep Purple new life but this is another record where it's difficult to feel that kind of life. The songs are with no heart and there's no one to remember. Anyway, Deep purple live-show is always the best in the world! Maurizio De Paola By a reviewer (Italia) |
