Live and Uncensored album for sale Product Description
Live and Uncensored album for sale by Millie Jackson was released Jul 29, 1994 on the SouthBound label. Hilariously racy monologues were a hallmark of Millie Jackson's concerts, as the title of Live and Uncensored implies. Beyond the foul-mouthed hijinks on this 1979 release, though, Jackson created witty narratives that covered everything from sexual foibles to soap operas, and in the process dressed down both sexes; hypocritically coy women are directed to "Give It Up," while in "The Rap" and "Be a Sweetheart," bumbling and sexually rabid men get roundly manipulated. Live and Uncensored CD music is a 2-disc set with 32 songs. ...See Full Description

Caught Up/Still Caught Up CD (1999)
Live and Uncensored CD music Digitally remastered by Doug Schwartz (Audio Mechanics, Los Angeles, California).
Hip-O made a natural choice for this repackaging of two Millie Jackson LPs: her love-triangle classic Caught Up from 1974, and its follow-up, Still Caught Up, from 1975. Sounding better than they ever have, this pair of albums chart the course of one of the most disastrous affairs in musical history. The first features sides from each perspective, with Jackson brazenly discussing her affair with her lover's wife (on "All I Want Is a Fighting Chance") and later, taking the wife's part, giving up all hope of getting her husband back ("I'm Through Trying to Prove My Love to You"). The production is lush and the playing, by a crack team of Southern soul names, is crisp and effective. While Still Caught Up can't help but suffer an energy loss, it's a surprisingly strong record, featuring an unbelievable closer, "I Still Love You (You Still Love Me)," featuring Jackson being dragged away to an institution screaming (she even reprised the act for her stage show). In total, Caught Up/Still Caught Up is basically the equal of any solid Millie Jackson compilation, with highlights scattered all over the disc: "(If Loving You Is Wrong) I Don't Want to Be Right," "It's All Over but the Shouting," "Making the Best of a Bad Situation," "Leftovers," and "I'm Tired of Hiding." ~ John Bush
2 LPs on 1 CD.

Feelin' Bitchy CD (1977)
Live and Uncensored buy CD music The title of Millie Jackson's FEELING BITCHY hints at what sort of rating the album should receive, and Jackson follows through by packing the set with sexually explicit monologues and saucy, sexy attitude. While such risque content wasn't out of place in the late 1970s, fans of vintage soul might be a bit taken aback.
These caveats aside, FEELING BITCHY is a still a rock-solid R&B release, and Jackson's vocal gifts are as impressive as ever. Whether dispensing no-holds-barred street-wise advice ("All the Way Lover") or churning up fiery soul ("Angel in Your Arms"), Jackson's throaty alto and brassy spirit are infectious, making this 1977 release a must-have for '70s R&B fans. The 2007 CD reissue boasts excellent remastered sound.
Our year-long Millie Jackson reissue program concludes with this expanded edition of her most successful album of all time. First released on vinyl in 1977, and on CD in 1991, "Feelin' Bitchy" has gone on to become one of the all-time best-sellers in the

Between the Sheets CD (1999)
Live and Uncensored songs Digitally remastered by Bill Lacey (Digital Sound & Picture).
Millie Jackson is best known for her bold sexual content and her honest, often saucy spoken interludes. BETWEEN THE SHEETS bucks that popular image by compiling 16 tracks of Jackson's more straightforward R&B material. Smooth jams, glossy production, and quiet storm dynamics are the order of the day here, and Jackson's performances hold up surprisingly well without the provocative histrionics, thanks in large part to her beautifully textured, soulful voice. Those seeking a more thorough representation of Jackson's output might want to try some of her studio albums, or Rhino's TOTALLY UNRESTRICTED! anthology, but BETWEEN THE SHEETS is a well-selected set that spotlights Jackson's prowess as a no-frills soul singer.
Includes liner notes by Scott Galloway.

Get It Out'cha System CD (1978)
Live and Uncensored album for sale Rappin' Millie has everything working in high gear on this commercial outing. She peps up Latimore's "Keep the Home Fires Burnin'," turning it into a surefire winner, and excels on Bobby and Cecil Womack's "Put Something Down On It," preempting it with a saucy rap called "Logs and Thangs." The husky-voiced singer claims Dolly Parton's "Here You Come Again," transforming the country-pop hit into a soulful item. This set is heavy on uptempo material, but the ballads "Why Say You're Sorry," "He Wants to Hear the Woe," and "I Just Wanna Be With You" rank with Millie's best. Oddly, the best song, "Sweet Music Man," is the last track on the CD; it begins with a tight rap, and features a aching, heartfelt vocal from Millie. The disc is a reissue that was originally released on Spring Records in 1978. ~ Andrew Hamilton

For Men Only CD (1980)
Live and Uncensored CD music One of Millie's best, Jackson gives fans tough raps, raunchiness, and scathing dialogue that threads the songs together. Millie's love for country ballads shows on "I Wish That I Could Hurt That Way Again." The appeal heightens on deep soul ballads, and For Men Only is loaded: check out her rendition of Latimore's gritty "Ain't No Coming Back," the earthy "That Don't Turn Me On," "Despair," "This Is Where I Came In," and "A Fool's Affair." Polydor originally released this LP in 1980, but give Ichiban Records kudos for updating this classic to CD. ~ Andrew Hamilton
