Richie Rich is a good but not great rapper on Seasoned Veteran, with a handful of songs -- "It's On," "Let's Ride," "Real Pimp," and the Tupac Shakur duet "Niggas Done Changed" -- making the biggest impression. ~ Leo Stanley
Seasoned Veteran was the album to make Richie Rich into a star, but the album fall just short of its mark. Richie Rich is a good rapper, but he's not a great one, which means that the production has to be impeccable for the record to really take hold. Unfortunately, only a handful of songs -- "It's On," "Let's Ride," "Real Pimp," and the Tupac Shakur duet "Niggas Done Changed" -- make much of an impression, which leaves Seasoned Veteran a frustrating listen, especially in light of Richie Rich's long and underappreciated legacy in Californian rap. ~ Leo Stanley

O.G. Vet!! Richie Rich was at the top of his game on this yay area slumper. He was with Def Jam records at the time and he put it down for the west with the slapper "Niccaz Done Changed" with his closest homie 2Pac "Makaveli" Shakur and his God Fearing cut "Do G'z Get To Go To Heaven". This is Rich's best album to date and one for your collection. Submitted by heavenlybodiesonly831 (Marina/Seaside, CA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
STILL IN THA MIX Richie Rich had to have know he was creating a classic with this. This is full of special guests like E 40, Luniz, T-Boz, Rame Royal, Dwayne Wiggins, and the greatest of all time 2pac.
Let's start with Pac, the song is "Niggas Done Changed", this song is one of the reasons many feel Pac is not dead. The song came out after Pac died, and in the song he says "I've been shot and murderd can't explain it word for word, but best believe niggas gon get what they deserve". It is also weird that 2pac's name isn't on the back of the case as a featured artist.
My favorite song from the album is "Pillow" featuring Rame Royal, and Dwayne Wiggins. The beat to this song is so smooth and relaxed it has to be a classic.
Another on remindes me of my sister Marlan, "Touch My Self remix", because that's all she does is touch her self. Submitted by fmwaalex (Delmare, MD, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Richie Rich Is Back! Richie Rich is finally back after spending his days in prison, He's again back and releasing his album with Def Jam called Seasoned Veteran. The album is pretty good with track being rendered with flava thats true to Richie Rich's purest form. The key to this album are the tracks, Such as Questions which features him & The Luniz where it concerns a certain women asking Richie questions, Another which is worth noticable is Let's Ride a track which is smooth funk blendered with pure funk, But the best noticeable track is the sad & gloomy Do G's Get To Go To Heaven? which is a track that talks about his partner Tupac Shakur (Who had recently passed away on Sept.13,1996). But in an overview is album is pretty slammin' proving that he's back and to stay. Submitted by a reviewer (NyC, Queens) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

$16.45 Solid Rhythm Section, Tight Horns, Emotional Vocals…all adds up to great performances. Their second Album, “EAZY Does It Again”, delivers a solid CD filled with 12 favorite Pop-Swamp-Pop Songs. Here are comments from two members of a long-time competing band:Dave Shaw...what can I say...this guy IS the REAL DEAL...truly one of the last great R&B Singers...a dying breed...when you combine Dave's vocals with a super tight horn band likeEAZY, you my friend have the recipe for pure MAGIC...they prove that every time they step onthe stage. Their first CD was awesome....but this one is over the top. They have truly outdonethemselves. I'm proud to say I have know these guys for over forty years and they just keepgetting better with age. - Randy Shaw/Lead Singer for "The Clique""EAZY Does It Again" is a wonderful walk back in vintage "Golden Triangle" music history.
