| C'mon -- you already know about this
Blonde on Blonde is possibly the best rock album ever made. It certainly sits alongside Dylan's own Highway 61 Revisited, Blood on the Tracks, and Love and Theft as his absolute best of the best. I'm keeping this short -- just go out and buy the new remastered CD coming out this August.

The first double album in rock history and it's still the best. That voice...what a beautiful instrument. Those that poke fun at Dylan's voice haven't really listened to this album. Listen to "Temporary Like Achilles" and hear the sound of a man's heart breaking as the bad guy gets the girl. And then his performances of this stuff live later the same year; astonishing. I'm not sure anyone can top this. As George Harrison put it, "Bob Dylan can make Shakespeare sound like Billy Joel." As revolutionary as Stravinsky and Picasso. Is it any wonder that so many people can't understand him? The man is an unmitigated genius and everyone that listens to this should feel the sweet pain of the realization of their own shortcomings. I live in dread of the day when Bob is no longer with us. But at least I'll still have this album. Give it time. Let it steep. Pure beauty.

This is by far my favorite Dylan album. This is a must have for anyone interested in him!

All I can say is, if you feel like your life needs a change or a boost, get this album. It will open you eyes and then some.. Enjoy.
