Last Days & Time album for sale Product Description
Last Days & Time album for sale by Earth, Wind, And Fire was released Mar 26, 1991 on the Columbia label. Earth, Wind & Fire were nothing if not ambitious, and by the time of their third album they had forged an individual sound by absorbing nearly everything that had gone before them in the previous ten years. It was as if they were trying to encapsulate every eclectic foray pursued by Motown, from catchy, rhythmic pop to churning funk, and even from Stevie Wonder singing borrowed folk songs like "Blowin' in the Wind" (here, Philip Bailey did "Where Have All the Flowers Gone") to the schmaltzy, string-filled pop that spelled legitimacy to Motown. Last Days & Time CD music contains a single disc with 11 songs. ...See Full Description

| not typical ewf one of their first albums. not very godd except for the last two tracks (i'd rather have you) and (mom) these are great songs with great words and instrumentation. By cmusic (omaha ne) |
| start of a legacy this album showcases the true rythum, harmony and lyrical depth of one of this century's greatest bands. By crmuhammad72 (richmond,va, usa) |
| One of the truly great albums of the early 70's The first great EWF album. Everything is great on this album the playing, writing, singing, arranging. The early 70's were the time of the jam bands, and EW&F got down on the Funk/Jazz Tip. My favorites are "Remember The Children", "Mom" and one of the all time great FUNK/JAZZ jams "Power" They are singing about children and mothers and it's tight, That's EW&F, they didn't have to talk about garbage to be respected. M.C. Lyte Very Best Of M.C. Lyte CD (2001)
Last Days & Time buy CD music Rhino's 2001 collection The Very Best of MC Lyte is an excellent summary of MC Lyte's recordings for Atlantic records. The collection balances her career quite nimbly, with four tracks from her 1988 debut Lyte As a Rock, five from 1989's Eyes on This, three from 1991's Act Like You Know, two from Ain't No Other, and one from Bad As I Wanna B, with her guest appearance on Foster/McElroy's "Dr. Soul," and the Bad Boy remix "Cold Rock a Party" rounding out the compilation for good measure. The decreasing returns from each subsequent album signals that MC Lyte's material did dip as the '90s wore on, but this does contain credible highlights from those records, while her hardcore golden-age recordings -- "10% Dis," "I Cram to Understand U," "Kickin' 4 Brooklyn," "Cha Cha Cha," "I Am the Lyte," "Shut the Eff Up! (Hoe)" -- still stand as fresh, powerful hip-hop. The first two records still hold their own, but this is a very good sampler and introduction in its own right. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine
