|Just About The Best|
To be honest, it's really impossible to pick a "best" Dylan album. So let's just call this my favorite Dylan album. The reason is that I truly enjoy every song on it. "Tangled Up In Blue" is just a wonderful, wonderful song. And if you are a completist, you are well aware that the lyrics have been altered by Mr. Dylan in several live performances. "Simple Twist Of Fate" is a real gem. "Idiot Wind" is probably the most bittersweet song in the Dylan catalog. The musicians are all top-notch here and their abilities add to the overall beauty of this album. Even if you are only a casul fan of Bob Dylan, you should have this album in your collection. If not, you're really missing out on a true masterpiece by one of the True Masters himself.

||THE BEST POKER MUSIC|
dylan---not a huge fan---i respect him unconditionally---but this album is crossover magic. plus, for all you poker players out there, for some reason this album just seems like it was made to put on when you're playing a big game. i'm serious here---try it out.

||Dylan's best album? Very likely yes.|
Of course, an essential album that is probably Dylan's most well-known. It's a surprising return to his folk-rock sound of the Blonde on Blonde days, and just devestating. This album is a mountain peak -- after this, poor Dylan would twist in the wind and spend the next 20 years with just lousy records (Desire and Oh Mercy excepted).

||This used to be the best album of all-time|
The album that tops this is the original September 1974 acetate version. Unfortunately he redid 5 of the songs in December with a different band. On the acetate an acoustic Lily, Rosemary. Different lyrics to Idiot Wind. Tangled Up and If You See Her are much better. You're A Big Girl Now, breathtaking. Substitute with the original and you'll never look back.

||My Favorite Dylan|
I have listened to "Idiot Wind" handreds of times. As usual, he puts his entire soul into his heartfelt singing. That, combined with his poetry, is deeply moving.
