Man-Child songs Product Information
Man-Child album for sale by Herbie Hancock was released Sep 27, 1988 on the Columbia label. Perhaps the funkiest album of Herbie Hancock's early- to mid-'70s jazz/funk/fusion era, Man-Child starts off with the unforgettable "Hang Up Your Hang Ups," and the beat just keeps coming until the album's end. "Sun Touch" and "Bubbles" are slower, but funky nonetheless Man-Child CD music. Hancock is the star on his arsenal of keyboards, but guitarist Wah Wah Watson's presence is what puts a new sheen on this recording, distinguishing it from its predecessors, Head Hunters and Thrust. ||A Funk/Fusion All Star Jam|
This album has always been a "must have". One that has been reincarnated over the years from lp, to cassette to CD. HH takes a group of funk and fusion giants the likes of Bennie Maupin, Wayne Shorter ,Ernie Watts, Garnett Brown, Stevie Wonder (harmonca),Wah Wah Watson,David Tbone. Walker Paul Jackson, Louis Johnson (thunder thumbs), Harvey Mason, James Gadson and weaves them into a layered masterpiece of electronic riffs and primodal rythmns. A delight.

we see the later headhunting barrage explode forth, a great continuation of sextant, headhunters, and thrust's implulsive dynamism and grasp of what wasn't there a moment earlier...the furious advancement allotted the perception and invigoration...a lesser mentioned gem due its own...you will not be disappointed...

||Great funky stuff|
I love this CD. I'm just starting to get into Herbie on a recommendation from my Bass instructor . If your into some really cool funky bass playing or funky fusion stuff it doesn't get better than this. The songs are nice and long, just the way I like it but the grooves just keep you tapping and moving along nicely. If you like this I would also recommend Thrust with Paul Jackson on bass, amazing stuff. Oh Herbie and the rest of the band are great too. I'm just Bass Bias.
