Inner Secrets songs Product Information
Inner Secrets album for sale by Santana was released Sep 05, 2005 on the Columbia label. On the heels of FESTIVAL came the disco-soul-pop-spiced INNER SECRETS, with a whole new Santana lineup. Greg Walker is the main man at the microphone this time around on these upbeat, radio-friendly cuts. While the band's personnel and sound are consistently in a state of flux and evolution, two constants in Santana are the presence of positive messages and, of course, founding guitar hero Carlos Santana--albeit the focus of this particular recording is much less on his playing and more on the overall production. Inner Secrets CD music contains a single disc with 9 songs. ...See Full Description

|Greg Walker Sings Santanna|
Greg Walker now with the 5th Dimension sings lead vocals on these great tunes. Everything is first rate and this is one of Santannas best CD's. Greg Walker is still great live, and covers 3 or 4 of these tunes with The 5th Dimension.

||Very Smooth Carlos|
Purchased this album in Germany (1978) and spent many an evening listening to one of Carlos' most easy listening, yet flat out hip performances. Very cool stuff here!

||Take it for what it is|
This is Santana in the late 70's. There's a 7 minute disco song and pop songs. This isn't Santana of the first 3 albums or his fantastic jazzy follow- ups. If you take this album for what it is... a pop album done by Santana and great musicians, you'll enjoy it. Open Invitation is worth the price alone. That song is a rocker and something you'll jam to. Hey, it's Santana. You won't be cheated.

||Inner Secrets Is Hip|
Santana did well in this project. The songs are hip and was well done. The album cover was awesome. Santana took on this project in the midst of the disco era. I think he has a song or two that reflects the mood of the times. I feel Carlos did a dandy job in 'Inner Secrets'.

Two Bit Monsters CD (1980)
|| (Import) Japan; Remastered; Super-High Material
Inner Secrets CD music 1980's TWO BIT MONSTERS is full of the anguished, roaming guitars and jittery choruses that make Hiatt's early work so distinguishable. His tottering Elvis Costello-like vocal delivery, with its peculiar twists and nasal sputtering, drives songs like "Back To Normal" and "Good Girl Bad World" to a punkier edge. The Motownish "I Spy (For The FBI)," shows off this Texan's more soulful side. The high-spirited "Pink Bedroom" takes on a life of its own, with Hiatt barely succeeding in keeping up with the brimming rocker; "Face The Nation" takes this frenetic pace a step further.
Although it is not typical of the country/roots-rock work for which he is now known, TWO BIT MONSTERS is a well-crafted insight into how a talented writer and singer incorporates the sounds of his time into his own artistic vision.
Japanese only remastered SHM-CD paper sleeve pressing. Universal. 2013.
While it seems John Hiatt has been around forever, it wasn't until 1987 that he began gaining the commercial attention he so richly deserved. A long-time cult favorite, Hiatt has long been respected as one of literate roots-rock's premier guitarists and singer/songwriters. Having been recording since 1974, he has developed a catalog of top-notch songs that are intelligent and wry, able to affect the head and the heart in simple yet cliche-free ways.
Personnel: John Hiatt (vocals, guitar); Shane Keister (keyboards); Howard Epstein (bass, background vocals); Daryl Verdusco (drums, background vocals).
