Can You Feel It? This CD was another one of those I had to have in my collection. The songs are good and Michael Jackson does some of his best work on this CD. I really enjoy the whole feel of the CD. By sankofa (Rockford, IL)
When Quincy Jones lit Michael Jackson's fuse... ...OFF THE WALL was the flash of light and heat that followed. Learning everything about hitmaking production style from his friend/mentor/musical "Svengali", it was only a matter of time after WALL'S multi-platinum/multiple hit single status, that the resulting "BOOM" from that explosion would be heard. That "BOOM" was TRIUMPH, and though the album that preceded it, DESTINY, was nothing to sneeze at, this was the Brothers Jackson together at full bore, and it was the best work they ever produced together. The 'Jones'-esque imprint is all over this album, albeit filtered through Michael's brilliance in creating (if not duplicating) danceably funky hooks, fidget-inducing beats and the essential bombastic horn arrangements. "Walk Right Now" and "Lovely One" could've easily been mistaken for outtakes from WALL, but were all the more exciting and fresh upon their initial release because they were brand-spankin' new Jackson originals. "Heartbreak Hotel," (often called "This Place Hotel" thanks to a printing glitch), is a creepily rhythmic, crackerjack 'dress rehearsal' for Michael's magnum opus, THRILLER. And of TRIUMPH'S few ballads, "Time Waits For No One" might be the best and most heartfelt Michael ever composed or performed. Whether you only collect Jackson family albums, solo projects or just Michael, period, you can't miss adding this one to the discography. By cchase (Arlington, VA.)

Jackson's Triumph Overall I was very pleased with CDUniverse...delivery and price were excellent. The CD is excellent, however I wanted the live version. I thought Triumph was a live recording during a concert. By ed8256 (Dayton, Ohio)
