Turn Back album for sale Product Description

Turn Back album for sale by Toto was released Jun 02, 1989 on the Columbia label. Toto's third album, Turn Back, was a bit of a disappointment. The group's ability to turn out highly competent studio rock was not translating into an individual sound, and since Turn Back had few memorable songs on it, one was left with little but those famous chops that Toto possessed in abundance. ~ William Ruhlmann Recording information: Cherokee REcording Studios, Hollywood, CA. Turn Back CD music contains a single disc with 8 songs.   ...See Full Description

Overlooked Toto
Often-skipped installment from these consumate musicians. Always overshadowed by the more commercial IV release, this Toto III album contains no hits, but is a strong collection with standouts "Gift With the Golden Gun" and "I Think I Could Stand You Forever."

Best Toto Album Ever!
Im convinced this is the best Toto recording material in their history. The combination of different rhythms and instruments, melody and lyrics are the key factors for fine quality of this album. I recommend this album to everyone. If you are looking for a real Rock album you should try this.

A classic well balanced Toto album
This album is great from the start to the finish. Melodic(as usual) the music is mellow at times with excellent heavy guitar rounding it out more often then not for a perfect balance. Vocals are excellent. I also appreciate the lyrics that came in the CD booklet. guitar geek part: Being a guitar player myself I can help but love the way Lukather makes all Toto songs more interesting. With that on this particular album the rocking guitar accented sections (the best parts!)are weakened a bit by the dated tuby chorus sound that would do better remixed.

TOTO rocks
This was Toto's third outing for columbia, and less commercial sounding than the previous outings. Steve Lukather and Bobby Kimball really shine on this one. The band played many songs off here on their 25th Anniversary tour in Amsterdam. Unfortunately those of us who remember buying vinyl versus Cd's immediately recognize that this is a very short album at only 8 songs. Nonetheless there are 8 good songs.

ToTo Is Still Great
It's not their best album, but it is a very good album. Great mix of songs.
