Thriller songs Product Information
The finest example of perfect disco pop, and a record that should be prescribed to musical snobs and manic depressives. The album is a true ambassador of what pop music can be. Jackson whoops and dances through a suite of unforgettable melodies that should be danced to with a smile on your face. Each track offers at least one musical hook, whether it is the beauty of 'Human Nature' (who can resist the 'dada dada da da da') or the 'whoo whoo' of 'Billie Jean'. ...See Full Description

When Michael Jackson released Thriller in 1982, he pretty much ensured that he wouldn't be a '70's thing. It sold more than 40,000,000 coppies world wide! The videos changed THAT medium from a bunch of glorified comercials to a genuine art form. He also had 7 top ten singles come from the album.
As for how good the album itself is, it's okay. It's certianly an entertaining piece and sonically amazing for that time. It also shows good range as "Wanna Be Startin' Something" is a great funk song, "Beat It" is a terrific heavy metal/dance song which prefigured today's current trends (not to mention having a mini "Eruption" as its solo, courtesy of Eddie Van Halen) and "Billie Jean" is very unique and spookey in its own way.
Actually, the only songs that aren't great are "Baby Be Mine" and "P.Y.T." the latter of which is pretty annoying. However, it isn't really THAT special. It certianly captures Jackson at his best (being an early eighties, non-gangbanging, child-like TALENTED version of Puff Daddy, essentially), there aren't any songs that grand in his cateloge here, except "Human Nature," which aren't available in his boxed set 'HIStory- The Past Present, blah blah blah' which certianly showcases his capasity for spectacle. Also, the Paul McCartney duet "The Girl Is Mine" falls short of another duet by them "Say Say Say" available of McCartney's greatest hits package.
All in all, though, it's a pretty dang good album which might bring back memories. Not his most spectacular album, but it is him at his best.

What can I write about Thriller?
It's a masterpiece, it's the biggest selling album ever, sold over more than 40 million copies. Michael Jackson made a phenomenal achievement which maybe never can and will be surpassed. Thriller is a fantastic combination of pop, rock & soul.
Songs like Thriller, Billie Jean, beat it and Human nature are making Thriller unforgettable. Thiller is simply the best album in pop, rock & soul ever!
