| | Dan Fogelberg Greatest Hits CD Dan Fogelberg Discography of CDs
(1 Customer Review)
Greatest Hits may ignore some of his better album tracks, but it does contain what the title says -- Dan Fogelberg's biggest hits, prior to its release date of 1982. Really, that means only one big hit -- "The Language of Love" -- is missing, since his peak of popularity arrived in the early '80s, when "Longer," "Same Old Lang Syne," "Hard to Say," and "Leader of the Band" all made the Top Ten, and "Heart Hotels," "Run for the Roses," "Missing You," and "Make Love Stay" cracked the Top 40. All of those songs, along with his first hit, "Part of the Plan," are here, on a collection that remains the best, most concise chronicle of his hitmaking years yet assembled. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine Greatest Hits Music Review Purchase Greatest Hits CD To buy, Click on price to add to cart | Dan Fogelberg Innocent Age CDs (1981)
Greatest Hits
$15.79 With The Innocent Age, Dan Fogelberg created the most ambitious, successful, and creative recording of his career and one that in retrospect was actually quite underrated. A sprawling, conceptual song cycle, the double album traces the stages of life from the cradle to the grave. Beautifully orchestrated, imaginatively conceived, and obviously well thought out, it works as an artistic statement and also includes some of Fogelberg's most universally appealing and commercially successful music. "Leader of the Band" ...
| | Loverboy Classics CD (1994)
Greatest Hits
$7.59 Loverboy includes: Mike Reno (vocals); Scott Smith (bass). Additional personnel includes: Ann Wilson (vocals). Digitally remastered by George Marino (Sterling Sound, New York). Personnel: Paul Dean (guitar, background vocals); Doug Johnson (saxophone, keyboards, synthesizer); Scott Smith (bass guitar); Matthew Frenette (drums, timbales, percussion); Nancy Nash, Marc LaFrance, David Steele (background vocals). Liner Note Author: Scott Smith. The Toronto-based Loverboy, comprised of vocalist Mike Reno, guitarist Paul Dean, bassist Scott Smith, keyboardist Doug Johnson, and drummer Matthew Frenette, was never a big hit with critics, but the band members' blend of hard-edged pop won droves of fans and kept them at the forefront of pop/rock for most of the '80s. This album contains most of their hits (excepting some more minor cuts like "Queen of the Broken Hearts"), giving a broad overview of their work. Sex was always a hot topic for the band -- think "Hot Girls in Love" -- but there is more to Loverboy than just hormones. There are also party anthems, with "Working for the Weekend" and "Turn Me Loose" being iconic in the genre. What makes this all pay off for Loverboy is that, there being nothing wrong with some harmless monster rock, as sophomoric as it can oftentimes be, the band does it with tongue firmly implanted in cheek, which is much to their advantage. If they had had ...

| | Elisabeth Cutler Slow Release CD (2009)
Greatest Hits
$9.85 Boston baked and bred, Seattle coffee-housed; Sante Fe escapee become Nashville-worn down-and-outsider turned European ex-patriot; evocative artist Elisabeth Cutler resurfaces in splendor with her fifth CD album of gorgeous and intimate songs, aptly entitled, Slow Release. A musically evolved and lyrically dense accomplishment, this new collection of songs is rich in nuance and scents of the Orient, that add to Elisabeth's universal style, which already includes the distinctive qualities of West Coast melodies and psychedelic sounds combined with the harmonic progression and structure of improvisational jazz.Built on the stable foundation of her confident guitar style and sound writing, Slow Release, showcases a new dimension of Elisabeth's vocal performance: refined, and superb in phrasing and breath, she has discovered confidence with her simple, direct and pure approach. Without doubt, a year of intensive study with Francesca Cassio, composer, ethno-musicologist, singer and scholar of Indian music, opened a new perspective in singing for Elisabeth; a more mature Elisabeth relaxes into the music and is more connected with her voice than ever before. Distilled from her European years, Slow Release, produced by Filippo De Laura and recorded by Eugenio Vatta in Rome, Italy, is a lyrically dense, adventurous ...

Greatest Hits

In fact, it's tied to a place and time -- the summer of 2009, when Kathy gave this concert in front of an enthusiastic New Jersey crowd. The Garden State also provides Kathy with her best material ...
