| Good Dylan Album!
This one is a lot better than what the critics say! I like every song on here - "Brownsville Girl", "Precious Memories", and "You Wanna Ramble" I think are the best...my least favorites are "They Killed Him" and "Maybe Someday" but I still like them okay...I just think the other songs are better!

This may be one of Dylan's most maligned albums, but it is also one of his best...might even be his very best. There's a lot more to this album than most reviewers say, so decide for yourself.

| This Dylan album is pretty good!
Although "Knocked Out Loaded" has been considered one of Dylan's most disposible albums, considering "Brownsville Girl" as the album's keeper and one of his most memorable songs, I find almost every other track on this album to be just as outstanding, with 2 exceptions, however. "Maybe Someday" and "Under Your Spell", are somewhat lame and dull. I would consider those 2 tracks on the album to be missteps, although I still listen to them once in a while, whenever I play the album. "Drifting Too Far From Shore" has similar rhythm beats and percussion as "Maybe Someday", but it's at least more catchy and listenable than that misstep. Maybe if it wasn't for those 2 missteps, "Knocked Out Loaded" probably would have ranked only slightly close with Dylan's classic early work. Technically, I would give this album a rating of 3 and 1/2 stars as a whole, but due to the fact that I don't have that option here, I give it a full 4. This may have also been considered to be an album of throwaway material and possibly Dylan's most abysmal studio album. As for Dylan's audience, it's considered, for the most part, to be an album of interest to the most dedicated.

| Very Under Appreciated and Under Rated CD.
If Dylan had just offered this CD as a compilation of things he'd been working on and had hanging around the vault instead of an ordinary studio release maybe it would have been gotten a better reception. What it is, is a damn good collection of assorted songs and a pretty darn good rock'n'roll album. It has a raggedness to the programming due to it's compiled nature but every song has it's charm and Brownsville Girl ranks with the best things Bob Dylan has ever recorded.
