The mix of Beck's muscular guitar work, Collins' walloping bass, the sawing strings and the steady rhythmic pulse makes WALTZ DARLING sound like a slightly more outre version of Giorgio Moroder's work with Donna Summer and Sparks back in the late '70s, with better keyboard technology and a goofier sense of humor.
