Although Quiet Riot only issued three albums in the 1980s with singer Kevin DuBrow, it was, for a brief time, one of the top rock bands in the U.S.. QR was responsible for some of the Reagan years' most instantly recognizable shout-along party anthems, hence this 1996 'best of' compilation. Most of the tracks you'd expect are here ("Cum on Feel the Noize," "Bang Your Head," "Slick Black Cadillac," "Mama Weer All Crazee Now"), although a few ("Don't Want To Let You Go" and "Sign of the Times") slip through the cracks. If you're a newcomer to Quiet Riot, this offers an accurate, though not complete, view of the band's output.
Quiet Riot includes: Randy Rhodes (guitar).
Quiet Riot Greatest Hits Songs Greatest Hits Music Review Average Rating: (3.5 out of 5 stars) Hell yeah. Looking for some classic, heavy rock? Right here. This is a good collection, Although it misses alot of their good material. They didnt even include one of the best tracks from the Metal Health album "Thunderbird". If you have the money, I would recommend buying the QR1 Album, All the songs on that one are good. Then the "Metal Health" Album, Because that has all their best hits. Also the "Critical Condition" Album is really good, Personally I really like "Sign of The Times" But im not sure if that was to big of a hit. Also it has "Mama Weer All Crazy Now" On it. If you have the money to put out, I would recomend the three Albums i just said, but if you dont, Then this is a good album to buy. | | Vault: Def Leppard Greatest Hits CD (1995)
Greatest Hits CD music
$10.39 Includes liner notes by Peter Mensch, Joe Elliott, Phil Collen and Rick Savage.
When Def Leppard arrived on American shores with 1980's ON THROUGH THE NIGHT, they were lumped with a New Wave of British Heavy Metal that also counted Iron Maiden part of the movement. Yet even then, the Sheffield quintet's inescapable pop sense separated them from their heavier brethren. As the '80's progressed, Def Lep soldiered on through tragedy, lengthy multi-year stays in the studio and quite a few world tours. VAULT culls the hits from the millions of albums they sold by way of MTV ("Photograph"), soundtracks ("Two Steps Behind"), and obvious sexual innuendo ("Pour Some Sugar On Me").
Influenced by the glam postures of Mott The Hoople, Bowie, T. Rex and Slade, ...

Poison's Greatest Hits 1986-1996 is as definitive as a Poison compilation could hope to be. | | Guns N' Roses Greatest Hits CD (2004) Remastered; Digipak
Greatest Hits CD music
$10.39 Hard-rock juggernauts Guns 'N' Roses arrived as rock & roll saviors in a dark time of generic hair metal and bloated pop. With only five studio albums to draw from (one being the all-covers SPAGHETTI INCIDENT), nearly a third of the material on GREATEST HITS is unsurprisingly devoted to other people's songs. Inclusions range from a dramatic version of Bob Dylan's "Knockin' On Heavens Door" and an outsized take on Paul McCartney's "Live and Let Die" to punk classic "Ain't It Fun" and doo-wop nugget "Since I Don't Have You."
The band's original songs, however, are the heart of G'N'R's appeal. Start with the quintessential heavy-rock anthem "Welcome to the Jungle." ...
| | Austin Pitre Opelousas Waltz CD (1997)
Greatest Hits music CDs
$14.49 Personnel" Austin Pitre (vocals, fiddle, accordion); Preston Manuel (guitar);
J. W. Pelsia (steel guitar); Alan Ardoin, Will Balfa (fiddle); James Pitre (drums).
Recorded in Austin Pitre's garage on May 13, 1971 and live at The Silver Star, Opelousas, Louisiana on May 8, 1971. Includes liner notes by Ann Allen Savoy and Chris Strachwitz.
Although this collection of two-steps and waltzes was recorded in Austin Pitre's garage and at a 1971 dance, the sound is immediate and vital. This French-language disc provides some engaging examples of traditional Cajun music at its best. Listening to OPELOUSA WALTZ, one can almost imagine hearing similar accordion passages in an open-air market somewhere in contemporary France, the ...
| | Ed Calle Twilight CD (2001)
Greatest Hits songs
$9.89 Even though this brilliant saxman and composer insists on once again using a generic romantic title for a disc of incomparable diversity and riches (much as he did with 1999's Sunset Harbor), there are at least six surefire smooth jazz airplay hits which will keep radio excited over the next year. If Steve Cole thought he had cornered the market on multi-track sax hooks the listener can't stop humming after the first spin, he better size up his competition with Calle. He combines soprano and tenor on both the funky, upbeat (and well-titled) "Joyful" and the silky, romantic "Love After Dark," then doubles up on tenor throughout the shuffling urban-flavored "Smood Dude" and the spirited "Bar Talk" (an ode to the Miami club Raffles where he got his start). Smooth jazz balladry doesn't get much better than the soulful, orchestrally enhanced "Sari's Song," a passionate tribute to Calle's wife. Those are the obvious hits, but there's still the deeper part of Calle's Latin heritage to consider on the brisk, rolling Gato Barbieri-like "Lover's Lane" (on which he plays alto, tenor, and baritone and floats his horns before the soaring drama of the Miami Symphonic Strings). With Arturo Sandoval featured on "Strut," one might expect another Latin extravaganza, ...
