This is when Brent Carter was with the band for 5 years and his sound put TOP back on top with Jeff Leorber producing and young David Mann playing lead sax this album isn't getting the recognition that it should be! DF

||OUT OF SOUL|
Musically this cd had a good sound. The cd just did not have enough funk and soul like the band sounded in the 70's. With a the title "Souled Out", I was expecting a more soulful sound. There is not one song on the cd that I could say that I liked but there also is not one song that I hated. The cd gets better after you listen to it a few times. If you are a tower fan you will like it but not love it.

Souled Out is a good, but not great album. The production is a bit slicker then Tower's previous two albums, which is to its detriment. This album simply does not have the verve of Monster on a Leash and T.O.P.
