This six-song mini-album contains live performances from the supporting tour for No Rest for the Wicked, featuring three songs from that album plus "Shot in the Dark." The performances aren't that special, but longtime fans will want to note that there are also two Black Sabbath songs included with none other than Geezer Butler on bass. ~ Steve Huey Ozzy Osbourne's world tour for 1989's NO REST FOR THE WICKED was another sold-out success for metal's beloved madman. It marked the first tour appearance of new guitarist Zakk Wylde, the second of drummer Randy Castillo, and the return of former Black Sabbath bassist Geezer Butler. As a tribute to the thousands of fans who packed arenas, Ozzy decided to re-record six fan favorites live in the studio with his new band, and issued it in early 1990 under the name JUST SAY OZZY. Made up of four solo hits and two Black Sabbath classics, JUST SAY OZZY is an authentic representation of what the short-lived Osbourne-Butler-Wylde-Castillo line-up sounded like live. Ozzy actually stated in the press around the time of the EP's release that he much preferred the version of his 1986 hit "Shot In the Dark" included here over the original. Also included are three songs from NO REST FOR THE WICKED, "Miracle Man," "Bloodbath in Paradise," and "Tattooed Dancer," as well as the Sabbath nuggets (and all-time heavy metal anthems) "Sweat Leaf" and "War Pigs." While other live Osbourne releases like TRIBUTE and SPEAK OF THE DEVIL are better, Ozzy worshippers will enjoy JUST SAY OZZY. Ozzy Osbourne Just Say Ozzy Songs | 1. | Miracle Man | $0.99 | |

| Just Say Ozzy Music Review Average Rating: (3.3 out of 5 stars) Love it or hate it... The selection of songs on this one is poor but you'll never hear a better version of shot in the dark. Not to mention, love it or hate it, Zakk Wylde was at his best on this one. He will never sound this good live again. Submitted by a reviewer (Sarnia, On.) Was This Review Helpful? Average. Didn't realize it was live version. It was OK but don't like the live versions as much. Submitted by marilyn.coffey (Queens NY) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
A good live record by Ozzy Although the selection is very short, this is an EP! the best tracks are miracle man, Shot in the dark, Sweet Leaf and War pigs. the playing is crazy especially Zak and Castillo. Butler is at his best. Ozzy, like the usual, is going crazy. although recorded during No rest for the wicked tour, I didn't like tattoted dancer and bloodpath in paradise. he should threw in something else! worth the try but you'll get tired of it in a while! | | Five Finger Death Punch War Is The Answer CD (2009)
Just Say Ozzy
$11.59 Lyricists: Mick Ralphs; Paul Rogers . Personnel: Ivan Moody (vocals); Zoltan Bathory, Jason Hook (guitar); Jeremy Spencer (drums). Audio Mixers: Randy Staub ; Kevin Churko. Recording information: Gump Punch Studios, Las Vegas (04/2009-06/2009); Hit Track Studios, Las Vegas (04/2009-06/2009); The Dojo, Las Vegas (04/2009-06/2009). Five Finger Death Punch stormed rock radio in 2007 with "The Bleeding" (from debut album THE WAY OF THE FIST), a powerful, emotionally tense track that matched vintage, Metallica-style thrash with a throat-shredding chorus more typical of late aughts metalcore. The Los Angeles-based band's sophomore disc WAR IS THE ANSWER mines much of the same territory as that breakout song, keeping the flame of the classic `80s Four Horsemen sound alive with snap-tight chugga-chugga guitar rhythms, minor-key, classical music-inspired clean/acoustic passages, and vocals dripping with a James Hetfield-approved combination of sensitive angst and macho defiance. ...
| | Between The Buried And Me The Great Misdirect CD (2009)
Just Say Ozzy
$11.18 Lyricist: Tommy Rogers. Personnel: Tommy Rogers (vocals, keyboards); Dustie Waring (acoustic guitar, electric guitar, slide guitar); Dan Briggs (fretless bass); Blake Richardson (drums, percussion). Audio Mixer: Jamie King. Photographer: Chuck Johnson . After Between the Buried and Me pushed metalcore purists away with their most progressive release, COLORS, they decided to push even harder for their fifth release. A diverse outing with an unruly amount of genres crammed into only six songs, THE GREAT MISDIRECT is a highly adventurous, very convoluted, wildly dynamic, and extremely difficult listen. Briggs, Waring, Rogers, Waggoner, and Richardson are in top form, with their script-flipping abilities intact and their technical chops at their most extreme. This is a guitarists' album first and foremost (although bass players and drummers are in for a treat, as well), and the playing, while showy, is incendiary. ...

Just Say Ozzy
$7.99 Personnel: Steve Souza (vocals); Gary Holt, Rick Hunolt (guitar); Rob McKillop (bass); Tom Hunting (drums). This is part of Combat's The Remasters Of Metal series. Personnel: Steve Souza (vocals); Gary Holt, Rick Hunolt (guitar); Tom Hunting (drums). Recording information: Alpha-Omega, S.F. Introduction by: Michael Pluznick. Despite their crucial involvement in the development of thrash metal, by 1987 San Francisco's Exodus were playing a desperate game of catch-up. Upstarts Metallica had first stolen their thunder, then their guitarist; and after a yearlong delay that rendered their seminal debut, Bonded by Blood, rather archaic, the group experienced a tumultuous lineup change with the departure of founding vocalist Paul Baloff and the arrival of ex-Testament singer Steve Souza. By and large, the throat-shredding vocal styles of both frontmen were pretty much interchangeable, but the difference ...
