Personnel: Ozzy Osbourne (vocals); Zakk Wilde (guitar); Kevin Jones (keyboards); Michael Inez (bass); Randy Castillo (drums). Includes liner notes by Steffan Chirazi. All tracks have been digitally remastered. "I Don't Want To Change The World" won the 1994 Grammy Award for "Best Metal Performance With Vocal." Personnel: Ozzy Osbourne (vocals); Zakk Wylde (guitar); Kevin Jones (keyboards); Randy Castillo (drums). Audio Mixer: Michael Wagener. Audio Remasterers: Bob Ludwig; Brian Lee. Liner Note Author: Steffan Chirazi. Recording information: around the world. Ozzy Osbourne has gotten more mileage out of live albums than any other hard rocker because he knows how to play the game. He knows how to make each record special, or at least a little bit different. Usually, this just means showcasing his new guitarist; at other times it just means showing off the new material. With Live and Loud, a double-disc set released in 1993, it was a combination of parading Zakk Wylde in a live setting and putting together a nifty limited-edtion package (the initial CD pressing of the album was designed as a mock speaker and contained two tattoos). Musically, there isn't much new, outside of a couple of recent songs, delivered with skill and professionalism by Ozzy's new band. Still, there's a lot to be said for professionalism -- there may not be any surprises, but there are no disappointments. Besides, Ozzy's live records are always enjoyable, since they have a more consistent set of material than his studio albums, plus a looser feel that is quite appealing. So, even if Live & Loud isn't a necessary album, it is an entertaining one. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine Billed as his final solo tour, Ozzy Osbourne's world tour in support of his 1991 hit album NO MORE TEARS was one of his most successful. To document this exceptional tour, a live double CD of standout performances was released in 1993, LIVE & LOUD. While Ozzy would tour again (as both a solo act and with a reformed Black Sabbath), this particular road jaunt would prove to be the last for the Osbourne-Wylde-Inez-Castillo line-up. Comprised of favorites from both his solo career and his Black Sabbath years, LIVE & LOUD is a well-balanced set. The set kicks off with a roaring version of "Paranoid," and the energy rarely dies down from there. Standouts like "I Don't Know," "Bark at the Moon," "Shot in the Dark," "Miracle Man," "Crazy Train," "No More Tears," "Flying High Again," "Suicide Solution," "Road to Nowhere," and "Crazy Train" are included. Several other Sabbath tunes are featured ("War Pigs" and the ballad "Changes"), as well as a version of "Black Sabbath" that is performed by the original Sabbath line-up. LIVE AND LOUD is another solid live Ozzy set.Q (9/93, p.88) - 4 Stars - Excellent - "...[LIVE & LOUD] is possibly the ultimate in easy access hard rock..." Ozzy Osbourne Live & Loud Songs Live & Loud Music Review Average Rating: (4.5 out of 5 stars) List All Reviews OZZY RULZZZZZ Ozzy is at his finest on this live recording. Having seen him with Randy and Jake, and Zakk, Ozzy's voice is as strong as ever and although Zakk is no Randy Rhoades he is far superior than Jake could ever hope to be....anyone know whatever happened to Jake? Anyway, if you're an Ozzy fan this is a must have!!! A classic CD!!! Submitted by Garry (Toronto, Canada) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No 1 of 1 found this helpful.

2 words, Mr. Crowley! This is classic Ozzy at his best! Although there are a few tracks that are a little out of synch at times, the overall experience of this album more than makes up for it. I would buy this album soley for the amazing version of Mr. Crowley, but Ozzy hits a chord with Road to Nowhere and Mamma I'm Coming Home as well. It's a little rough around the edges, but that's what live music is all about! Submitted by Justin (Dallas, TX) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Ozzy Rocks This cd is really good. Zakk does a great job of playing new and classic Ozzy. I still think that he isnt half the musician Randy was because Randy wrote the best music. Another album that is awsome is the Tribute album. Submitted by a reviewer (Brownfield, TX, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
RANDY RHOADS IS GOD Both of you are wrong. Randy Rhoads was a much better guitarist than Zakk Wylde I suggest you buy "Tribute" and you'll see what I mean Submitted by a reviewer (Anywhere USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
