Alice in Chains album for sale by Alice In Chains was released Nov 07, 1995 on the Sony Music label. "Grind" was nominated for a 1996 Grammy Award for Best Hard Rock Performance. "Again" was nominated for a 1997 Grammy Award for Best Hard Rock Performance Alice in Chains CD music. The group's self-titled third album continues along this path, peppered by Layne Staley's nihilistic lyrics and guitarist Jerry Cantrell's weighty playing. ||Brutal, powerful, evocative|
This is the first Alice In chains album I got and it is a really good album. With its sludge like pace and heavy alternative sound it is a truly incredible album that only AIC could have come up with. My faviorite songs are by far Sludge Factory, God Am, Grind, Again and Heaven Beside You. All tracks are great but those stand above the rest.

||I remember buying this album the day it was released...|
I remember because it was released the day of my 17th birthday... and I had been into AIC for a long time before that. True enough, Dirt will probably always be considered THE definitive album for AIC, but you have to keep in mind that they never made a bad album. This one is a must for any AIC fan, and I'd recommend it to anyone who truly appreciates nihilism in music.

||about the cover?|
I have this cd. It used to be my father's and the whole cd case is green. The cover on this site is grey. Were there two different cases or covers made for this cd?

||Best Band and Best Grunge album ever!!!|
I already loved Grunge before I heard this album because of bands like Pearl Jam, Nirvana, and Smashing Pumpkins. And this album seeled Grunge as being my favorite genre of music. Every single song on this album is great. It's dark and muddy and really hits you when you are in a bad mood. Grind, Sludge Factory, Heaven Beside You, Again, Frogs, Over Now, well pretty much every song is great. The most Powerfull album ever. Its a shame that Layne Staley passed away and this was there last album because they were just starting to make the best of there music and could have done even better after this. Even if you don't like rock you should buy this album. It's just that Epic!!!
