THE ELEPHANT RIDERS is an Enhanced CD containing both a full audio program as well as multimedia computer files and free access to the internet. Clutch: Neil Fallon (vocals); Tim Sult (guitar); Dan Maines (bass); Jean-Paul Gaster (drums). Additional personnel: Delfeayo Marsalis (trombone). Principally recorded at Electric Lady Studios and Manhattan Center Studios, New York, New York. This is an Enhanced CD, which contains both regular audio tracks and multimedia computer files. Personnel: Neil Fallon (vocals); Tim Sult (guitar); Jean-Paul Gaster (drums). Audio Mixers: Jack Joseph Puig; Jason Corsaro. Recording information: Electric Lady Studios, NY; Manhattan Center Studios, NY. Photographer: Dan Winters. Moving to a major label hardly dilutes Clutch's music. The Elephant Riders finds the band continuing the stylistic breakthroughs of Clutch, sharpening their guitar attack while adding subliminal elements of funk to their rhythms. Furthermore, their songwriting has strengthened; no longer are they simply riff-oriented rockers who get off on the sheer force of sound, turning in a set of consistently strong songs that suggest a song cycle. It's an impressive effort that hopefully should bring them an audience the size of Deftones, if not Korn. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine True to its title, THE ELEPHANT RIDERS by Maryland natives Clutch is a mighty behemoth of sound, maintaining a perfectly frightening level of pure testosterone throughout. The sheer machismo is given a disarming level of agility by acrobatic drummer Jean-Paul Gaster, who employs funky accents and daring meter switches to smarten up Clutch's Neanderthal assault. With guitars as sinewy as they are mighty, the beefy sound of Clutch recalls the thick lead work of early Kiss. However, any nostalgia is quickly dismissed by such modern touches as the wildly manipulated multi-track vocals "Ship Of Gold," the offbeat story telling and tempo shifts of "The Soapmakers," and the Chili Peppper-esque rap of "The Yeti," which catapult Clutch ahead of the retro-peddling masses and into the future of hard rock.

Clutch Elephant Riders Songs Elephant Riders Music Review Average Rating: (4.5 out of 5 stars) Clutch?!?! Well let's see...I have been a Clutch fan for about two whole weeks now. It started when I heard "10001110101" on Sirius channel twenty. I went on clutch buying frenzy. Robot hive /Exodus was my first and I loved it. Elephant Riders is my favorite out of about six clutch cd's that I have bought.ER has some of the most badazz, cool, funky riffs on it.I can't beleive I had never heard of these guys before!!!
Favorite tracks are;Elephant Riders,Soapmakers,Yeti,Green Buckets,Wishbone.
The cd Blast Tyrant is also exellent. Submitted by Tom (Lexington,Ky) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No 1 of 1 found this helpful.
heavy lift with caution there is a heavy lift with caution sticker on my elephant riders cd, and I know why it's there, it doesn't get heavier then this, it sounds like an elephant, and there are 3 hidden songs; david rose gifted & talented and 05. or so I belive, well worth buying Submitted by a reviewer (outer space) Was This Review Helpful? Clutch's best album! If you like Clutch and haven't heard this, definitely pick it up. It has a lot of their classics. Submitted by joshquarles (Kansas City, KS) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No 1 of 2 found this helpful.
Good But Not Great Having listened to the self-titled album, not buying a Clutch album for a while, then getting back into it with Blast Tyrant, this is, and I hate to say it, my least favorite Clutch album. Impetus was great and Pure Rock Fury surpassed that, but Elephant Riders seemed to kind of falter somewhere. And as for it being "heavy," I beg to differ. Pure Rock Fury was twice as heavy, and Blast Tyrant was twice as heavy as that (Robot Hive is on even ground, too), so... I mean, it is Clutch, so it's still better than just about anything else you can listen to, it's just... Well, I own every Clutch album and this is the one I listen to least. Some of the songs ("Yeti" in particular) are really good, but when compared to the sheer brilliance of some of the other albums, it just pales. Schizophrenic review, I know; that's just how it is. | | VH1 Presents The Corrs Live In Dublin CD (2002)
Elephant Riders
$6.39 The Corrs: Jim Corr (vocals, guitar, keyboards); Sharon Corr (vocals, violin); Andrea Corr (vocals, tin whistle); Caroline Corr (vocals, drums, bodhran, percussion). Recorded at Ardmore Studios in Dublin, Ireland in January 2002. You knew the Corrs had made it when they played the final JFK Awards ceremony of the Clinton administration. Playing it would have been achievement enough, but their status as a happening thing was cemented at the end of the ceremony, during the encores, when everybody was taking their final bows. Bill moseyed up over to Andrea, put his arm around her, and when she was looking away, sized her up -- at precisely the same moment ...

Elephant Riders
$12.15 "Get Up and Dance" is the first single to be released (the guys get up because the girls 'Get Up and Dance'") to be followed by the instant hit "Soldier of Glory." AND YES, this is the first album with three tracks featuring American Idol star Mario Vazquez!-----Cesar has lived his entire life as a natural talent of the guitar. Covered by CNN, Fox News, Entertainment Weekly, Music Connection, MTV, and many more. From his hardships to his heart, his whole world is shaped in the form of a guitar. It is amazing to me, knowing how cut-throat and competitive the music business is; how he manages to slip through the cracks and thereby became a masterful musician. He got his big professional break at 19 through the help of the unforgettable giant: Astor Piazzolla, the father of contemporary tango and classical music. We were performing together at the Opera Theater in Buenos Aires, Argentina. It was at the time that Astor listened to Cesar's demo tape and decided to give him a hand with his career.Since then, Cesar has played around the world.Perhaps the most incredible story I know of Cesar and his devotion to the guitar was when he first left Argentina and went to Spain with only eight dollars in his pocket, his plane ticket and, of course, his guitars. He was hoping to play with flamenco master guitarist Paco de Lucia, who met him a few months earlier and who told him that if he ever made it to Europe, to contact him.Well, after Cesar arrived in Madrid Airport with little more than his dreams, Immigration promptly decided to deport him.He was in a cell for six hours waiting for them to put him back on a plane, when he managed to escape long enough to run to a pay phone and call Paco.As fate would have it, Paco answered the phone.Paco immediately went to the airport where he talked the custom agents into letting Cesar into the country.Since then, Cesar has performed all through Europe as a solo artist. He also performed with the London Philharmonic Orchestra, Frank Sinatra, opened for Al Dimeola, recorded with producer Bebu Silvetti(Luis Miguel, Placido Domingo), Dominik Camardella (Santana, Ottmart Liebert) under the management of Alex Zara and Hollywood legend Xavier Cugat.Currently he resides in Los Angeles where he has finished recording ...
