The brother that they call Ren, who with his NWA counterparts defined the genre of so-called gangsta rap, is on the scene once again with the album RUTHLESS FOR LIFE. He enlists the aid of some true shot callers and ballers in the hip hop game, such as Ice Cube, Eightball and MJG (from the Suave House Camp), and Snoop Dog. If you are an MC Ren or NWA fan, go cop this album.

Faithfull to himself Not his best work... to be honest, it's probably his "worst album" if you compare it to his fist 3 albums. But how can it be better than is first 3 ? Particularly "Kizz My Black Azz" and "Shock Of The Hour", 2 gangsta rap classics ! It's almost impossible to have a better album than this two.
For this "Ruthless For Life" album, it's not that bad... especially if you an Mc Ren fan or a gangsta rap fan. Musically, i expect it a little bit harder and/or something new but it wasn't really the case. Lyrically, Mc Ren is faithfull to his reputation: The Hardest Lyricist Of The Game!
Cuz if it ain't ruff it ain't Ren !

Good Album I thought that nearly all the songs on this CD were great, with the exception of the few with guest appearances, a lot of them were too new school (by the way new school=SUCKS). Other then that it was awesome. Submitted by Sara (Winnipeg,MB,Canada) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

RUTHLESS FOR LIFE MC Ren proves to the world again he can hold his own solo once again. You can tell with the production team it hits. He has two of the greatest ever in L.T. Hutton, and Ant Banks.
The guests include N.W.A. buddy Ice Cube, Snoop Dogg, Eight Ball &MJG, RBX, Big Rocc & Tha Chill, and Peeps. This is a nice little line up he has going
The album kicks off nice with "Ruthless for Life" were I think he takes shots at Deathrow Records, there are also disses aimed at Master.P and others on other songs. "Voyage to Compton" is another classic, along side "Who Got that Street Sh#t".
This album is a must for real west coast fans. Submitted by FMWAALEX (Delmare, MD, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

Ruthless For Life album
$7.59 Let us all be thankful that Ozzy's retirement didn't stick. It supposedly lasted for three days, after which he got bored and started working on this project. Heavy, riff-intensive tunes, progressive song structures and a little psychedelia give OZZMOSIS a definite Sabbath flavor. Ozzy must have been in touch with whatever inspired early ...

Ruthless For Life music CDs
$11.99 This collection of live material from U.S. pop music artist Lionel Richie includes such popular songs as "Brick House" and "Dancing On The Ceiling."
Two years after its release outside the U.S. and five months after the appearance of Lionel Richie's modestly selling seventh studio album, Just for You, Island Records belatedly presents an abridged domestic version of Richie's 2002 live album, Encore, recorded in May 2001 at Wembley Arena in England. The international version of the disc had 16 tracks, among them "Tender Heart" and "Don't Stop the Music," both from Renaissance, Richie's sixth studio album, which he was promoting at the time. They have been excised from the American version of Encore, as have the international version's final two tracks, "Goodbye" and "To Love a Woman," both duets with Enrique Iglesias. Remaining are 12 performances of Richie hits from the 1980s along with two Commodores hits of the '70s, "Brick House" and "Three Times a Lady." Early on, Richie says he will be playing songs old and new, but the listener to the U.S. edition of the album will wonder where the new songs are. Richie is an engaging cheerleader of a frontman, endlessly encouraging his already enthusiastic listeners with such interjections as "C'mon!," "Yeah!," and "Let's go!" The audience is content to sing along on the familiar material, with or without Richie to join them. ("You don't need me," he declares at one point.) No doubt this show was more enjoyable for Richie fans in the arena than it will be for those listening at home who, for example, won't know what Richie is talking about when he says during "All Night Long (All Night)," "Man, you can't dance!" This is a performer who is playing much more to the audience in front of him than to the one that will hear the concert later ...

$10.15 I was born in Pittsburgh on an uncommonly warm night in April , 1962. By all family accounts I screamed so uncontrollably when they brought me home that I turned a wonderful shade of purple. I apparently regained my composure shortly thereafter and settled into my role as the youngest of three. By the time the family moved to Detroit in 1967, I had worn the grooves off my brother's Beatles records and my dad's classical 78's, planting the seeds for the eclectic mixture of styles that is my "home turf."I started violin lessons at age seven, but when I wasn't practicing "Lightly Row" I was back at my brother's record collection, getting a good listen to Grand Funk Railroad, Jimi Hendrix, and Emerson, Lake, and Palmer before he got home from junior high. My brother retaliated by making me desecrate my violin with a microphone in an attempt to sound similar to Jean-Luc Ponty's tone on the Frank Zappa song "Fifty-Fifty." The feedback still rings in my subconscious.Switching from violin (and viola) to guitar was a natural progression fueled by two insatiable needs: to be noticed by the opposite sex, and to be noticed by the opposite sex while playing song in the Led Zeppelin ...
