Canta Para Recordar CD music
$16.75 Whatever they put in the water in Romania, these musicians from the Fanfare bands must imbibe freely, since they play at speeds beyond normal human comprehension. Not that they can't slow it down a bit, as they do, at least on the beginning of the dance "Besh O Drom," before the accordion goes into a face-off with the brass players which will leave the listener -- never mind the musicians -- gasping for breath. This is essentially village music raised to the very highest levels, played with fire, panache, and more than a slight sense of humor; check their cover of "Moliendo Café," a remarkably familiar piece which they start off like a manic version of Ray Charles' "Hit the Road Jack." While they're equally at home on songs or instrumentals, it's when ...

| | Under The Radar I Was There, I Traveled, But I Can't Remember When'... CD (2008)
Canta Para Recordar songs
$20.25 ***Hi everyone! Regarding the CD's of all my projects: I have no more plans to reduplicate them. They will always be downloadable. But... if you want the "physical CD", there are a few left of each. Thank you for all your support through the years!~Richard (aka Under The Radar)"I was there, I traveled, but I can't remember when." Somewhere between Ray Bradbury's "I Sing the Body Electric" and Philip K. Dick's 'Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?" there hides a compelling soundtrack waiting to be unearthed. This could very well be that soundtrack. Chaos Theory, Fuzzy Logic and The Black Swan jam to the The Impact of the Highly Improbable. This is not to suggest by any stretch of the imagination that this new music from Under The Radar's Richard Souther is not accessible. Quite the opposite! At moments I found it to be cerebral yet highly emotional and quite beautiful. Plus... it glitches and grooves like a mad hatter at certain points in the musical journey. If you enjoy Björk's creative instrumentation's, the musical passion of an Ulrich Schnauss or the wonderful inventive quirkiness of Opiate or Kettel, you'll love this CD!BTW: If you go to:http:// richardsouther /default. htm?p=films. htm&s=-1You can see some beautiful visual interpretations of three of the songs on this CD created by film maker Joaquin Montalvan. About Under The Radar (aka Richard Souther) Grammy nominated artist Richard Souther is a composer, producer, arranger, sound designer and multi-keyboardist who has built a strong reputation as a top contemporary solo instrumentalist for over twenty years. He has created numerous best-selling albums in the New Age, Smooth Jazz and the Classical/Crossover markets as well as acclaimed recordings for the CCM music scene. Richard was a child prodigy who began studying classical piano at three with then retired Professor Thomas Giles (Dean Of The Music Department/University Of Utah) until he was twelve. He went on to study with the legendary Russian piano teacher Max Willerson and concert pianist Reid Nibley. "During that time, I realized I didn't really enjoy playing other people's music exactly as written and wanted to explore the world of jazz improvisation... and Surf Music!"While attending middle school during the Sixties in Los Angeles, Souther began playing keyboards in LA Rock bands on the Sunset Strip and developed a love for a wide variety of different types of music. By the early Seventies he was becoming an in-demand session musician who played with numerous artists like Geronimo Black, Feather, Barry McGuire, Richie Furay, Pat and Debbie Boone, and Denice Williams. Souther also began developing his talents as a touring ...
