One Of The Most Important Albums...en español Anyone who has an interest in poetic, dark, melodic rock should definitely listen to this cd. Puerto Rico has never had many large international artists in the alternative rock genre, then, along comes Draco. Releasing Frio and establishing himself as a genuine artist. Then, in 1996, he releases Vagabundo. The story of a dark time in the composer's life, and completely establishes himself as the leader of the field. This cd is one of those personal, cult gems that you dont let go of. The cd is in spanish, but anyone can appreciate the mood that is set throughout this album, culminating with an incredible song with impeccable arrangement (Amantes Hasta El Fin) and an exit from the world you have just gotten lost in, listening to this cd (Mientras Camino). Enjoy the journey.... Submitted by boomingsound (Miami, FL, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

Vagabundo album
$10.09 Two new songs and a few stray remixes rounded up might not be enough for longtime Rosa collectors, but that doesn't keep Como Me Acuerdo from being a great listen when considered on its own. Of course the collection isn't really made for diehards, it's made for those introduced to the artist by Mad Love, his first entirely English solo album. The sensual mysticism and patchouli-smelling production of Mad Love is present on a few tracks, but hearing the punchier, more direct songs from Rosa's earlier work is exciting and proves this man is a versatile pop craftsman. Even without the delicious and swirling production Rosa does so well, the naked and acoustic "Bandera" is gripping due to the singer's passionate delivery. If you're just coming off Mad Love, "Penélope" and "Vagabundo" are less in your face than expected and give some back-story to Rosa's grandiose side, one that could easily be written off as Sting worship otherwise. Copyright dates in the liners can help if you want to use this as a compilation, but the tracks are ordered so well you could pass this off as something meant to be. Unless they want a compact Rosa sampler, his longtime fans can pass. Everyone who got hip because of Mad Love can get a better understanding of how it all came to be and how enchanting ...

$16.15 Imagine the Mamas & the Papas without the arranging prowess of John Phillips or the powerful voice of Cass Elliot and you get a pretty good idea of what the Deep Six sounded like. During their brief existence, they released one self-titled LP in 1966 on Liberty. Over three decades later, the U.K.-based Rev Ola label not only reissued that rare collector's item, but also included five non-LP cuts, rare photos, and excellent liner notes. The light, if somewhat generic, folk-rock arrangements and close harmonizing are pleasant enough on the majority of tracks; versions of "A Groovy Kind of Love," "Where Were You When I Needed You," and "Solitary Man" fit the band's smoothness to a tee. A few missteps are also included, especially the overtly far-out hippie vibe on "C'mon Baby (Blow Your Mind)," or even worse, "Paint It Black," which sounds as goofy as if the Serendipity Singers were performing it after taking a few tokes ...
| | Kills No Wow CD (2005)
Vagabundo music CDs
$7.59 After the overwhelming success of the White Stripes, the rock & roll rulebook changed. In this new rock order, size was no longer everything--the fewer band members, the better (boy/girl duos preferred). Minimalism replaced decadence, and drum machines even supplanted drummers without ridicule.
The Kills tested these ideas on the duo's 2003 debut, KEEP ON YOUR MEAN SIDE, to considerable accolades, and the group's second album, NO WOW, further strips down their aesthetic. In a seductive drawl, Alison Mosshart (AKA ...

Vagabundo songs
$18.39 FAINTLY BLOWING, the 12 track album from 1960s British band Kaleidoscope (not the American band), features "Poem," "Story From Tom Bitz," and "Opinion."
This CD also contains six bonus tracks--"Do It Again For Jeffrey" (bonus Track), "Poem" (Single Version), "Balloon," "If You So Wish" (Mono Single Version), "Let The World Wash In," and "Mediaeval Masquerade."
For their second album, Kaleidoscope delivered something an awful lot like their debut, a body of pleasant, trippy, spacy raga-rock, with the main difference that they pushed the wattage a little harder on their instruments -- they'd also been performing pretty extensively by the time of their second long-player, and a lot of the music here was material that they'd worked out on-stage in very solid versions. The result is a record just as pretty as their debut but a little punchier and more exciting within each song than their first album. The title track is also one of the more beautiful psychedelic effects pieces of its period, while "A Story from Tom Bitz" is crunchy folk-rock, "(Love Song) For Annie" represents a more lyrical brand of druggy folk-rock, and "If You So Wish" shifts over to Moody Blues-style ballad territory circa late 1968 and early 1969. ~ Bruce Eder
