This is the first Robi album that I listened to. The songs are the same (musicaly)but the lyrics and his voice are different from the Frio album. This cd is awsome.I recomend it to anyone.

"Songbirds and Roosters" (1998) by Robi "Draco" Rosa is practically the English version of his earlier (1994) Spanish album, "Frio". The songs "Mama", "Guajira" and "Mama Hue" from "Frio" have been omitted, and one new song "Mourning Gun" ("Blanca Mujer") has been added, making this an 11 track CD, rather than the original 13 tracks that "Frio" was. Filled with memorable melodies and sometimes disturbing lyrics, the picture of a far different Robi Rosa is painted...not the young boy that Menudo fans remember, nor the current incarnation of Robi--songwriter/producer of such upbeat Ricky Martin songs as "Livin' La Vida Loca" and "She Bangs". This shows a much darker side to the man, containing the occasional profanity. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE this album. It has depth and insight, but it MAY not be to most people's taste. This is definitely for die-hard Robi Rosa fans ONLY!

Needs to hear this songs!!!
This is definitely a must have cd for Draco's fans because it involves such deep and dark feelings.You will find a long lost journey with sad songs, beautiful songs , the up and downs of life, the sadness written between lines and hidden behind laughter... it's just awesome,creative, fresh it's Draco.. i loved it, and it doesn't get old;)

I bought this after buying and enjoying the Mad Love Cd.
Robi's Cds are quite difficult to get in the UK so ordered in from the US. I was not dissapointed,pure poetry in true Robi Draco Rosa style!!! It will never date.

Two new songs and a few stray remixes rounded up might not be enough for longtime Rosa collectors, but that doesn't keep Como Me Acuerdo from being a great listen when considered on its own. Of course the collection isn't really made for diehards, it's made for those introduced to the artist by Mad Love, his first entirely English solo album. The sensual mysticism and patchouli-smelling production of Mad Love is present on a few tracks, but hearing the punchier, more direct songs from Rosa's earlier work is exciting and proves this man is a versatile pop craftsman. Even without the delicious and swirling production Rosa does so well, the naked and acoustic "Bandera" is gripping due to the singer's passionate delivery.
