MY hero Way back when EC was a drunk, drugged up muso, he was commited to great music. This album was a huge breakthrough for EC. By Fullerat (Jax FLA)
high quality recording This is not Eric Clapton known in 90s' or in XXI century. But it is relaxing and full of beauty album. By Kit (Denmark)
Vital to Any Collection '461 Ocean Boulevard' and 'Slowhand' are the vital Clapton solo CDs to own. Everyone knows Clapton's cover of Bob Marley's "I Shot the Sheriff" and anyone who ever listens to classic rock radio should know "Let It Grow," "Motherless Children," and "Willie and the Hand Jive." If that's not enough, there's "Mainline Florida" and Clapton's cover of Robert Johnson's "Steady Rollin' Man." Masterful. By WavDave (KC MO)
Boring & Uninspired This CD was a disappointment 30 years ago as an album, and time has only proven it to be among the poorest work Clapton has recorded. By Gta (Marysville,Ohio, USA)
Good album, shame about the DTS! Classic album, marred by a lacklustre conversion onto DTS 5.1. This is not a true DVD Audio disc, but is worth a listen nonetheless! EC's Reptile on DVDA is a stunner, 461 on DTS is a little off the mark. By fl (Chatham, England) This review is for a different format.
