This soundtrack really brings the movie to justice. The best film soundtrack I've ever listened to, with the widest range too. The Man With The Matches is a personal favourite of mine. Ennio Morricone composes dark tension and harmonious compassion magnificently..

When the James Bond film series entered the '80s, the producers decided it was time to give the series a makeover. The result was For Your Eyes Only, a tougher film that downplayed the wisecracks, gimmicks and comic book elements that dominated the Bond films of the '70s. This film was also noticeable for replacing regular series soundtrack composer John Barry with Bill Conti, a composer best known for his work on the Rocky films. They call it an EP; at eight songs and 36 minutes, it's really a mini-LP, and it has stayed on this writer's turntable as long as their typically inspired ninth LP, 2005's Carnival, did. Its titular track is Carnival's gripping basher, a rhythmically interesting powder keg that evokes urban underclass resistance, remixed to play up its harsh leading edge (remarkable for any band, let alone one that's 27 years old).
