A nicely programmed best-of, more or less split between Humble Pie's occasionally adventurous period with Peter Frampton (including the best cuts from the classic PERFORMANCE--ROCKIN' THE FILLMORE), and their more commercially successful incarnation as extremely loud purveyors of the most basic blues-tinged rock.

Highlights include their cover of Ashford and Simpson's "I Don't Need No Doctor" (a ubiquitous radio presence in the early '70s), "Natural Born Woman" (adapted from Chuck Berry's "Little Queenie"), and "Four Day Creep" (written, unbeknownst to most of the band's fans, by jazz singer Ida Cox).

5 stars rock at its best
If you are a fan of hard rock, get this right now. This album will have you fired up from beginning to end. Steve Marriot has the best rock voice there is.The melodys are great, the playing is tight, an essential to everyones rock collection.
