In Search of the Lost Chord album for sale Product Description
In Search of the Lost Chord album for sale by Moody Blues was released May 20, 1997 on the Polydor label. After helping lay the groundwork for concept albums and progressive rock with 1967's orchestra-enhanced suite DAYS OF FUTURE PASSED, the Moodies retrenched for the follow-up. They abandoned the orchestra but kept their sound as rich as before by playing a multitude of instruments themselves, including everything from sitar to cello to oboe. At the time, it was remarkable enough for these instruments to appear on a rock record, much less to be played by the band itself. In Search of the Lost Chord CD music contains a single disc with 12 songs. ...See Full Description

Classic Moody Blues In Search of the Lost Chord buy CD music A sublime example of the Moody Blues at their very best. One of the great concept albums of our times and a benchmark in technical achievement and artistry. By a reviewer (NSW Australia)
Their first real use of the Mellotron. And it is good! In Search of the Lost Chord songs On this album, we get a sense of how the Moody Blues really play together. Sure, we saw how well they can integrate themselves with an orchestra, but now we see just how well they can play by themselves. By Galen (Anchorage, AK, USA)
Good follow-up, one which defined the Moody Blues for decade This album continues the innovation and experimentation of Days Of Future Passed, and takes it to a whole new level. Instead of using the orchestra, they used their now-trademark Mellotron and a slew of instruments, both traditional rock'n'roll and exotic, even indian, instruments. By Galen (Anchorage, AK, USA)
