Seventh Sojourn songs Product Information
Seventh Sojourn album for sale by Moody Blues was released May 20, 1997 on the Polydor label. This is a DTS CD, which features DTS 5.1 Surround Sound technology and is playable on a DTS-capable 5.1 Surround Sound system. While the Moodies were never exactly a rocker's delight, SEVENTH SOJOURN, the seventh recording with the post-Denny Laine lineup, is perhaps their most ballad-heavy album. Ironically, the album's biggest hit, which would become one of the group's signature songs, was the uncharacteristically uptempo "I'm Just a Singer in a Rock and Roll Band." Seventh Sojourn CD music contains a single disc with 8 songs. ...See Full Description

||Hats off To the Moody Blues|
It doesn't get much better than this. The change of tempos is terrific. My Lady, New Horizons, and Rock and Roll Band are just terrific. Hail to one of the best bands of the late 60's early 70's.

||For Moody Blues fans this is as good as it gets|
SEVENTH SOJOURN, from 1972, finds the Moodies at their most harmonic. The first hit single was "Isn't Life Strange", but FM radio quickly added "New Horizons" and "For My Lady" to their regular rotation. Later during the Summer of '72, the Moody Blues four year old album, DAYS OF FUTURE PAST, generated a surpise #2 hit in "Nights In White Satin" For the follow up hit, the uptempo closing song from SEVENTH SOJOURN was chosen, and "I'm Just A Singer (In A Rock And Roll Band)" peaked just short of the Top 10 early in 1973. After thirty years, this album holds up extremely well. Buy it!

||Great album, even better|
Haven't listened to this album in years, but the remastering made it so much better. The restored artwork on the mini lp cover was ust as I remembered it.

||Nicely Remastered With Extra Tracks!|
First off this IS NOT a DTS 5.1 cd as Cd Universe has it listed. It's a newly remastered cd with extra bonus tracks. The album needs no introduction as it's was released in 1972 and is the band's seventh album. It may not be quite as good as "In Search Of The Lost Chord", "To Our Children's, Children's, Children" or "A Question Of Balance" but it certainly had some great songs such as "New Horizons", "You And Me", "Isn't Life Strange" and "(I'm Just A Singer) In A Rock N' Roll Band" After "Seventh Sojourn" the band took a long break and each member (with the exception of Mike Pinder who took a permanent break and left the group never to return) released solo albums with Hayward and Lodge releasing the excellent "Blue Jays" in 1975. Finally, in 1978 a new Moody Blues album was released with "Octave" The sound quality of this newly remastered version of "Seventh Sojourn" sounds better than the 1997 remasters (I still have the older version and have compared the two). Plus you have bonus tracks and an expanded booklet which makes this a pretty desirable package. If you don't own any individual Moody Blues cd's and are planning to buy some get these new remasters.
